To make duvet look very luxurious use 2 inserts. I've seen this done and it's beautiful. Another tip is to use king duvet/comforter on queen bed. Personally I don't care for duvets bc too much hassle so I use washable comforters. But love the look of a duvet so maybe....❤💚💜💙💛

I love the bed but I couldn't downsize. My husband is a spreader. Arms everywhere and then there is the dog. I just can't. But I do love that bed and I love how excited you are.

Love the room, it looks wonderful! Two things, I noticed you were horrified about the mess under the bed. Tip: get a roomba. I have mine to run 3 times a week, and no more mess under the bed or the couch. It's awesome! Two, the grass cloth wallpaper: I love wallpaper too, just not removing it. I have always wanted to make several large rectangle canvases and cover them with wall paper to get a similar look without the work. Maybe that's an idea?

I had to jump over here to see this bed that you took back down. We’re in a queen now but I miss my king bed (hubs likes the queen). I made sure in our new home being built that the master could hold a king & still have room for other furniture in there. I can’t wait!

Great bed .. Have had a 4 post bed for years.. Just bought myself a bronze rod iron bed, the head board, Is high. With rounded edges. The end , same but lower, antique dowls inside... beautiful bed... you both will enjoy the 4 poster... I loved ours. Can not wait to see what you do... exciting,❤

Your trend is black, white and gold. Why not set off the bed by painting the wall behind it gold? I saw a movie with a gold wall and the soft glow from it is stunning. I decided to do it myself and the effect is soft, elegant and WOW! Your bed and the rest of your furnishings would be enhanced by the gold wall, and would balance out the room. While unexpected, it is romantic at the same time it is dramatic.

Yes, I've bern thing of sizing down my bed frame from a high carved oak to a more contemporary wood frame, then to all white for bed sheets + yet maybe some ascent pillows

Grass Cloth!!!! Just have crown moulding that accommodates hooks for hanging art. I have it all over my house and we never have to put holes in the walls. Plus it 'elevates' the space. You go girl!!!!

I love your transparency with yes we all have dust to clean under the beds. We removed our dated brown wooden 4 poster queen bed. As much as I'd love having a king bed, my hubby pushed back making our master bedroom xl for accommodating it between our 3 windows, so my side of the bed suffers with extra pillows. How about putting your grass cloth on your fifth wall your ceiling for texture it may not be the color you would like, but you could certainly choose another color that you could live with, and you would be looking up at the beautiful texture instead of just plain wall in your bed broom therefore you can drag your furniture and paintings here in yonder. Just a thought for the ceiling treatment. I can’t tell if it’s a tray, coffered or cove ceiling detail but what if instead of diagonal thin black stripes, you “outline” the recessed ceiling with the thin stripes mimicking the “hotel” linens you described. You could also do a modified Greek key design at the corners.

We have vintage patterned wallpaper in our Florence home (it's a long story, before covid we used to work and live between two cities and homes) and it's such a commitment it's borderline haunting. My grandma had it installed and I know I will never bring myself to remove it and yes, holes are permanent and you have to be careful not to scratch it/touch it too much around doors and windows and light switches and not to bump furniture against the walls and the colour palette is permanently set and... in short, I am sentimental about it BUT so many strings attached.

Loved that you included your mood board. I think that bed is very high end looking. I recently upsized from a queen to a king and am happy that i did although it's pretty expensive to get all new sized bedding...yeesh. Re: the clothes ordered..The only thing out of the box that you kept was just the most BEAUTIFUL victorian blouse ever. It looks fabulous on you. That would look great with those leather pants you wear sometimes.

Can’t wait to see what you do in your room. I enjoy your tips & ideas that make such a difference. It takes a lot of time to pull a room together. I have struggled with furniture choices & fabric. I also love change & decor ideas along with paint, except color, I just do the whites & creams. I can’t to do bold except once & I was disappointed, it was not a good match for my color decor. I can choose drapes with color design of paisleys or a beige with a navy blue grosgrain navy blue ribbon I added to coordinate with my pillows.

That's a small bed and will you keep the wall black? I love your floors the wood color really pops with the black. Target has some of the best sheets, they're "threshold performance" are the best. Would you ever think about stenciling the wall?

That’s funny: we have the same black nightstands. I even put something that looks a lot like your box underneath, except mine is a square blue ottoman that was recently sold as part of the collection Target commissioned from Levi’s. Fits perfectly! As for vacuuming under the bed, that’s where my Roomba comes in handy: it automatically vacuums the whole room three times a week.

Wow love the new bed, it is trad but feels modern because it is so clean lined! Love where you are going with the ceiling, I am stuck with ugly popcorn so looking to change through shiplap and design. I would love to see you revive a beautiful old look that just got over done in the 90’s with plaster of paris. As a Cnd I am so jealous of Target they came here and failed because they didn’t bring the gold. My look is very similar but with BM simply white and BM Grey. Dying to see what you do!
