Yes everything floods here please don’t come to Texas it’s full already lol. Jokes aside my area is getting pretty congested with traffic due to a lot of folks moving here. The woodlands use to be peaceful now I’m stuck in traffic.

Moved here in 78. The flooding has gotten worse every year do to building. The water can not go anywhere. There are no natural lakes in Texas they are all man made for flood control. There are no more room for lakes so now they build retaining ponds. I have seen civil engineers dredge Lake Houston for 2 years and they lowered it 2 ft this last flood and for the first time the west lake houston bridge was closed do to water on the bridge. The flooding this time was worse then Hurricane Harvey.

That’s what the media wants you to believe. Look at the number of homes flooded. Compare it to Harvey. It’s not even in the ballpark.

@@LivingInHoustonTexas Newer areas are flooding. Like i said the west lake houston bridge was closed cause water had over flown. Thats never happened. Flood Disclosure is required so if you are looking to buy here please ask your realtor and ask if the area floods,

Of course. I have sold over 300 homes. Not one has flooded.

We have flooding, mosquitos, HUGE cockroaches, snakes, spiders, scorpions, flying insects of various varieties with stingers...did I mention snakes? Uhm, tornadoes, hail storms and the occasional hurricane. Our neighbors are nosy and do more than look over fences. Insurance rates are skyrocketing both auto and home. If you live in flood plane you have to have addtional insurance - FLOOD insurance. yee-haw yall.

Houston has been spending a lot of money on flood mitigation after hurricane harvey. They will be spending more in the future. Anyone who’s buying in a new development doesn’t have to worry but over time the risk will go down as the billions in flood mitigation takes place. This can take 10 years + so don’t buy in the flood zones today.
