You talking about they closed the channell to ship traffic and that is a lie they only care about their money they never stop ship traffic and cared more about their money than my nephew life. Now we planning a funeral and his children have to grow up without their dad. They all went home to their families not my nephew. He just got back on the boat to from his break and he looses his life the 1st day back, due to negligence

I work on tow boats and I even once worked for the company that owns this tug...the ship channel absolutely gets closed for safety. more often than you think

Looking at the AIS data on this tragedy, seems the risk wasn't recognized by the overtaking tanker and procedures weren't followed. Assume NTSB will join the investigation. PS - RIP crew member.

not that company he didn't. I worked for then and they have a very good safety officer who does take his job serious. Any employees can call a work stop at any time if they are in a unsafe situation
