Three skylines and the triangle is started to connect. There's technically like 9 skylines but the land mass is too massive to get it all.

Not to mention the little cluster of high-rises on the North end of Hermann Park that are starting to grow together with the new ones along Montrose Blvd in Museum Park, plus several new high-rises in Midtown. Eventually there will be one big continuous, connected skyline running all the way from downtown South to the Med Center, interrupted only for a short stretch by Hermann Park. I’d guess another 20-25 years before that happens. Another new skyline that appears to be developing pretty quickly is the one along West Dallas and Allen Parkway, between Montrose/Studemont and Dunlavy. Not quite sure what that skyline will be named or even what to call it now.

@@lifeofgrant it technically is sorta. Texas is the investment Hotspot for the next 40 years. People are moving in at higher and higher rates. Corporations and companies are moving their operations there. Housing is drastically more affordable than California or North Eastern states. It had the easiest port access and business friendly regulations. Obundant undeveloped land for future construction and it doesn't get congested like other states. Dallas, Forth Worth, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston are economic powerhouses now. During the recession. We were the only state that didn't get effected due to our income comes from necessary industries such as Energy, Medical, and Aerospace which Texas leads the world in. My complaint is the fact that we may face a housing crisis soon due to way too many people moving here and the building can't keep up with demand.

@@lifeofgrant well houston is nothing but a money machine. People here don't care too much about the cool factor. They just care about their ROI and business. I wish houston was more organized like so you can park and go clubbing for like 8 blocks like Austin. Everything is too spread out in Houston.

If Chicago includes all of Cook county which is just one county , we would have 5 million people and 965 square miles . Good job. I'm requesting a vid that actually shows all ((10 )) H O U S T O N Skylines. For the record Harris County is massive its one of the biggest counties in Texas. Harris is bigger than Dallas or tarrant County in land size as for Cooke County Illinois it will pass it very soon. The city of Houston will pass Chicago maybe ten years or more but it will happen Chicago is on a downturn blame beetle juice for that it's anti business.
@Shikta-poobah672 жыл бұрын
That’s only if future growth starts trending a bit more to the Northwest. Most of the really explosive growth in Greater Houston is taking place in both Fort Bend and Brazoria counties. There’s a massive chunk of undeveloped land in the Northwest part of Harris, but it’s not growing anywhere near as fast as the Southwest and South parts of the metro area are. Unless the city of Houston gets more densely populated, you’ll probably see Harris county’s growth rate slow way down here soon.

Houston has seen population loss . Good luck
@Shikta-poobah672 жыл бұрын
@@californiamade5608 Only the city proper has declined. The metro area is still growing. This isn’t something that’s unique to Houston. In the most recent population estimates, 8 out of 10 of the nation’s top 10 largest cities reported declines in population. The only 2 cities that reported gains were San Antonio and Phoenix, which not surprisingly are the two most affordable cities in the top 10. NYC reported a loss of over 300K in the 2021-2022 period, which is alarming. Houston reported a loss of 11K in the same timeframe. It’s being attributed to the pandemic, which I’m sure is a factor, but a more likely explanation is that people are leaving because they’re being priced out. Our cities have just gotten too expensive, too suddenly. Anyway, I was going to post a link to the article with these statistics, but youtube policy won’t allow it. Just do a search for “population decline u.s. cities 2022”.
