Tyrone White was a member of the 65 Menlo Gangster faction of the Crips gang in South Central Los Angeles during the late '80s and '90s, witnessing police brutality and the LA riots. White speaks with Business Insider about the culture of the Crips and the rivalry with the Bloods. He talks about money-making activities, clothing, and music.
Andy "Rebirth" Pellerano is a former soldier for the Almighty Latin King Nation, or Latin Kings. Pellerano discusses gang life in New Orleans, where the gang spread from its home base in Chicago. He discusses drug-trafficking networks, robbery, and extortion. Today, Pellerano is an evangelical minister and musician.
Alex Sanchez is a former high-ranking member of MS-13. He became involved in the gang in the 1980s in Los Angeles and participated in its expansion. He speaks with BI about tattooing, rules and codes, media perception, and the political language used to depict the gang.
Omar Sharif was involved in gang activity in London. He speaks with BI about county lines, gang colors, and language. Sharif is now a motivational speaker, life coach, and youth worker. He has also worked with large corporations and leaders.
John Pennisi was an associate with the Gambino family through John Gotti Jr. before he became a made member of the Lucchese crime family in 2013. Pennisi says he decided to leave the mob in 2018 after members of his crew falsely accused him of cooperating with law enforcement.
Jay Dobyns is a retired ATF agent who went undercover with the Hells Angels from 2001 to 2003 as part of Operation Black Biscuit. He speaks with BI about his experience with the outlaw motorcycle gang, from weapons to narcotics trafficking. He later served as an instructor at the ATF's National Academy. Dobyns is the recipient of the United States attorney general's Medal of Valor, 12 ATF special-act awards, and the National Association of Police Organizations' top-cops award.
Jimmy Tsui is a former member of Tung On in New York City's Chinatown. He later transitioned into the Sun Yee On triad in Hong Kong, where he became a "426 general" in 1988. He speaks with BI about how the triads make money, such as extortion and protection rackets. He discusses the initiation ceremonies and rules of membership as well as the ties to the movie business.
Mike Moy says he was a gang member in New York City's Chinatown, having been recruited in the 1970s. He speaks with BI about gambling houses, counterfeit money, bootleg kung fu movies, gunrunning, and credit-card fraud. Moy joined the New York City Police Department as an officer in 1995 and worked there for 26 years. He later founded the KZbin channel Chinatown Gang Stories, where he speaks with former gang members about their lives.
Yuyama Shinya is a former member of the yakuza in Japan. He speaks with BI about the ways the yakuza makes money, such as extortion and protection rackets. He discusses the initiation ceremonies and rules of membership as well as the ties the yakuza has to other criminal groups, such as the triads and Russian organized crime. He now runs a KZbin channel.

I completely know. Fully well. I was raised around them as my mom's dad did work for them but he wouldn't join them. My mom, uncle and my other cousins and myself and my brother when we got old enough we all seen and went through things nobody ever should. Then I got in a 3 1/2 year relationship with a POS who never joined the HA but he was raised by them and did work for them as he was the most abusive POS and I thank the Lord I got away from him and my family. After my mom died my cousins tried to murder me 4 times and I left and never went back. That was 7 years ago and I have NEVER spoken to them and plan to never ever go back. I've never been happier since uprooting myself from those scum bags and making a new life for myself. And I did. I was homeless for years. Now I'm going to college full time for nursing and business. My cousins are still popping out babies left and right for their mom to raise while they still do drugs, drink and pimp themselves out for the gang. I pray for their kids and my brother who is still stuck at that house in that life.

@@HonorableBeniah-A Ugh, yes they are. I'm sorry to tell you, but yes they are. This is coming from someone who knows people closely who are in the HA. There is so reason to think they have changed their ways at all. The only difference would be that the members from a long time ago are either old or have died by now and their younger family members taking over are still sharping the edges of the sword. That's all I'm gonna say. There is absolutely zero question on whether or not they are still as bad as they once were.

The guy who used to be Paco....man, he is doing great things! I love how his daughter's power of influence helped motivate him to rely on the Lord to change his life!! Him being a pastor who used to be in a gang and lived the life style, has put him ina unique position to reach people who most church leaders csnt reach; because others cant truly say, " i know how it feels", "i know, i have been there." A lot of people living in a cycle of life cant believe someone that tells them "the Lord can forgive you, if u repent and get baptized", if they havent lived that way before. Thank you for this video. Young people need to see this!

The Pastor is so right. It is men who need to make and support change in other men and let younger men know that perpetuating a world of hurt onto your family, your wife and your children is not the way. @SharpForceTrauma
@SharpForceTrauma 7 күн бұрын
It absolutely is. It's well known that the ATF have been involved in several gunrunning scandals. Priority One of any organization is to ensure it's own existence. The ATF creates crime so they can continue to "fight" crime, and make alot of money doing so. The FBI keeps databases of all seized child porn and sells and distributes it to the dark web just so they can shut it down later. The DEA sells drugs they confiscate on the streets to wrap up gangs. That's what your taxes pay for. Government sanctioned drug dealers.

I have no doubt that this man has repented, but for hard-working Americans who have been working since birth, it must leave a bitter taste to work hard, pay excessive healthcare costs in the USA, and see gang members enjoying asylum and free healthcare. Something is seriously wrong in the United States, just like in my country, France. We have the worst thugs from the Maghreb, Africa, and the Middle East coming to France with impunity, raping our daughters, grandmothers, and killing our children. But the left explains to us that these poor people have suffered from war. "lol" I don't see how a 15-year-old Afghan teenager who killed a 15-year-old French boy three days ago could have experienced (according to his testimony) 50 years of war. But well...

In my experience living in a neighborhood with a lot of gang activity in North Portland, 2/3 of gang shooting victims are either random people who looked like the gang member or just a passer by getting shot. Only 1/3 of the time is the target person hit.

With all the respect I said LOL when I read North Portland. And I know it will I'm from Seattle and I did leave 10 years in East Los Angeles and the Bay area which take the cake in regards to organize gangs but no doubt Seattle and its surrounding areas or times more dangerous than North Portland for talking about actual gangs. I spent a lot of time in that area at the horse track as well. I just didn't notice.

Okay, that retired agent has been said to never have been an official Hells Angel. Many, many, years ago they did a full breakdown of the operation that he was on and MANY high ranking leaders said that they never consider him as one of them. In the show me and my dad watched he was very bragidocious about how deep undercover he thought he was, but a lot of the Hells Angels thought of him as a boy scout trying too hard. A lot of them felt like he was a fed because of how eager he was. I agree 100% that the dest of the gang members on here were elbows deep in gang activity, but the only gang the retired agent was in was The Federal Government. That's not an interview with a former Hells Angel or a Hells Angel.
