This reminded me of my uni time in Quebec... Was so uninspiring unogirinal and mentally tiring... Legit got depressed after watching like 5 minutes... God forgive who ever advised me to study there and to watch this video 🙏

This video is resonating in a very depressing way. That song idea is so deeply mediocre it makes we want to get another job.
@prodRegularDude7 ай бұрын
Its not a final song. Its the process of writing one. Have you not created anything before?
@yearlyoatmeal7 ай бұрын
@@prodRegularDude I'm a pro writer. I'm just saying that I kinda recognize myself in this video. For every hit song I've been part of, I've done probably 50 of these shitty ones. Not saying I'm better. This guy has got almost three times as many platinum certifications as me. But nothing is worse than a mediocre pop song and then that feeling of pretending you love it to keep the vibe going in the room. But that chord progression and that melody idea and lyrical concept are all so incredibly trite. Just hearing it makes me want to quit
@lilwombat7 ай бұрын
@@yearlyoatmealyou gotta do an experimental project what ever that means to you just to not feel like that is even a possibility in what you write
@bueno20427 ай бұрын
@@yearlyoatmealIf you were a pro-writer, you'd know that you can make a cool song out of any progression. It's all about sound design, topline, and the energy you can bring or, conversely, take away. Here there's only a piano draft. If you deconstruct any song to just a melody on the piano - more than half of them will sound depressing.

the melody phrase feels very familiar. Loreens Euphoria has the same musical intervall with a slightly different rythem. By the way am I the only one who thinks that 2 other people in this video should be named. This is a 3 person session and just one person gets credit.
