Morning, this video has truly blessed my mindset. It kept popping up and I did not click. I don’t know why because I always watch y’all videos. Maybe because I was feeling down because my father died last week and is being buried Wednesday. Whatever it was, God kept sending this one video to my timeline. So today I clicked and could not turn it off even watched the ads. The things you said were hitting me like a brick, it was like the words were all words I had been trying to come up with for things I have been feeling and going through, but just couldn’t figure it out. Amen and blessing to y’all. I don’t have any acres, not even half an acre but I do grow and I get just as excited every time I’m harvesting. I grow squash, zucchini, potatoes, watermelon, cantaloupe, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers and this was my first year trying corn. I’ve been growing the rest in northwest Indiana for some time now and I was so happy to throw that corn on the grill I took pictures and called my mom! If you want to go for a challenge, I got 2 banana plants a couple weeks ago from a pro Gardner, again in northwest Indiana, yes. They are doing so good but I’m going to have to work hard to keep them through the winter. God willing, we will be successful. Keep doing what you’re doing guys and God will continue to bless your path

I was just telling my wife it would be cool if some of these channels would do an origins video and you just went and did it. You and your wife are definitely good stewards of what God has given you. The way y'all give Him the Glory is such a wonderful testament. My wife and I have a garden, I grew up with and have had larger gardens on acreage and I know how it can be...learning to and praying to be a good steward with the small things again...planting that seed. Looking at your hoop house and knowing that y'all had issues with deer, I thought a solar powered electric fence line would keep them out. Just a single wire maybe attached on the inside to the galvanized poles so the plastic could still be rolled up and down. Just thinking out loud and throwing that out there. Amen I went through a loss, depression, a breakup, covid and at that moment I started planting at that moment I felt the presence of god the joy and the love of watching everything grow shortly after my mom at sick she had cancer at the moment they told her things she needed to eat and I had all that she needed in the garden thanks to God. During the whole chemo appointments, I was with her during it all not knowing that I was pregnant she passed away during my pregnancy but the lord showed me even in the dark times there is still a light shining through it all.

This will probably be a long comment but it is so necessary…I believe😊. It is so amazing to hear your testimony because for a whole year I was hooked on watching KZbin videos about gardening. Even though I grew up on a farm, I took it for granted and didn’t concern myself with the process. But praise God and His infinite wisdom, He gave me a purpose and a desire to start an herb garden to control my cholesterol (didn’t want to get on any medications for it). That was just the spring of this year. I’m now growing my fall crops😁. I don’t know how that will turn out since I just refuse (at the moment) to put a garden on the ground…it’s all on my 60 foot deck in containers😂. But~! As I’m purchasing more seeds, I see so many other seeds that I want to try…Look at God~! So much more to say but I don’t want to keep the gardeners away from their passion so thank you for your love of God and your willingness to be faithful to your calling…much love to you God continue to bless you and guide you❤

So true. Gerald, you are right . During covid, I started to my vegetables garden in our backyard. At this time, I have ×4 bath tubs added x2 4ft x 8 foot garden beds, 32ft garden bed by the back fence, plus smaller container gardens. It really brings peace to my soul each and every day. Cooking food from our garden makes me feel so happy,blessed, and rich . Knowing that our produce is mainly enriched by my homemade fertilizers, compost, and fish fertilizer makes me feel healthy. My husband is even more lenient about losing his lawn space because he's enjoying the fruits of our garden. I still need to get a lot of wood chips, my next step. Glory be to God for all his provisions 😊

I agree with Mama Black. "harvesting potatoes is just like Christmas!" Yesterday I just harvsted my first grow bag of potatoes for this summer and said the same thing. (I succession planted 4 bags this year.) Don't have the space go grow in the ground now but am hoping to move so I can have a real garden space next summer. But I started my grow bag "farm" on our driveway and am growing tomatoes, okra, eggplant, zucchini, beets, peppers, cabbage, broccoli and tried cauliflower and brussels sprouts for the first time this year. Being in the garden is my favorite place to be! May God continue to bless you both on your walk of faith and as you share His faithfulness!
