Sorry about the audio. I've applied noise reduction and tried my best to shout towards the camera. At some moments, the wind was too strong and muffled my voice.

Oh ya for outside skate spots: my favorites are still the parks and local trails. My wife likes to rollerblade too and we usually find a flat spot for her like a tennis court or smooth parking lot (or she loves to go our local skate rink when it is open)

I love skating at the tennis courts too. Some tennis courts have signs, "No skating allow", but sometimes I'll do it anyway. Some tennis courts near me also have signs with something along the lines of, "If you trespass or skate here, you will be prosecuted". These signs scares me the most!

I got you Bunn: my favorite season is this season! Fall transitioning into Winter is my fav!! 🍂❄️ (north Texas climate) It is going to feel very liberating taking that heel brake off! I busted my ass first day w/o heel brake rolling down a hill cause I had not really learned other ways to stop yet so it is smart of you learning other ways to stop before taking that heel brake off 😎 Lmao at your reaction to the white van pulling up; that is exactly how I feel when that random vehicle pulls up at night (especially a van 😅)

Thank you for commenting your favorite season. It shows you watch the video long enough to have heard it! Especially skating at night, I get a bit paranoid. The worst is when I see a car pulled up parking next to my car out of all the parking spaces. I mean there are so many parking spots why the driver need to parked close to me. This happened to me (not in this video), but recently on another skating night. It's equivalent to someone peeing next to your stall when there are several stalls open. Part of me want to carry a weapon at night time, but part of me don't as I don't want to hold too much weight while skating. I found out K2 sends free replacement for axels. I don't think you own any K2 skates, but if you do, K2 send them out for free.

@@CatzzSkatesFamily nice to know on axles thanks! May get the wife a pair of K2s eventually to upgrade her currents. Yeah man I honestly roll with a knife in my Camelbak backpack everywhere and I carry a small one clipped in pocket at night if going skating just in case. Some people out there are crazy!

That’s a smart move! Yea, there are crazy people out there. Stay safe man. Off topic. Do you add any accessories on your Insta360? I’m thinking of buying lens guard. One of my lenses cracked over the weekend and now I’m thinking of my future content continue using Insta360 or iPhone. I think your shorts were filmed with Insta360 camera right?

@@CatzzSkatesFamily oh no, hopefully you can get it fixed or something! Or maybe working still with one lens? Yeah man I use the sticky lens guards for the lens, a silicone case from Amazon, the wind microphone guards, and screen protector.

Yeah man. I've been checking my fedex shipping status like I checked my bank account on a daily basis....it's still in transit. I probably won't get my insta360 back until next year. I got my iphone to record if I really have the urge to record content. I got about 2 months worth of videos backlog so I could continue edit those on my down time. Yes, I need the wind microphone guard too (I didn't know there's such a thing until you mentioned here). My wife ordered me the sticky lens guards so I'll see how that goes. I got a lot of days off coming up. I could always continue improving my skating skills.

Pretty good video. I watched to the 16 minute mark so far. I will try watching the rest tomorrow if I get a chance. I like that you are trying to stop using several different methods. The one you were doing at around the 15-16 minute mark using both legs is called the Plow Stop I believe. I use that one quite often when skating indoors. The main one I use when skating outdoors is the T-Stop or T-Drag... I normally only use my right foot when doing this but should really practice it with my left foot. The guy Dang I skate with is always asking me how I can T-Stop so much on a long hill without it bothering my leg... its cause my legs are numb normally so the muscles don't bother me doing it for a long time. When are you planning on removing the brake? I don't think I have actually seen you use it in any videos yet. For months I kept debating on taking mine off on my 80mm setup, I never learned how to brake without using the brake pad... just took it off 1 day and haven't gone back to it. I did have a nice fail the first time I tried going down a steep S curved hill and wiped out going down it. That was back in like June or July. I have gotten much better braking now. i watched part of this video yesterday and some more today, I think I recall you mentioning doing power slides somewhere but up until the 16 minute have not seen you do any. Are those later in the video? I love watching people do power slides, one of the braking methods I have not attempted to learn yet but it's on my list of things to practice. Great work on the video. Looks a little better in the well lit parking lot. If I stumble on the night camera settings I will be sure to pass them along. Do you use Discord by any chance? We seem to be commenting on a lot of each others posts lately.

Haha love these ultra long comments. I tried T-Stops at flat parking lot. I can see how it can be tiring. When I drag my foot I also tried it with the V-Shape (not really a t shape) and it also works. I find it’s a great way to stop too. Definitely not doing T-Stops going downhill! What’s your favorite way of stopping? I tripped a few times on twigs with the 80mm skating. With the 100mm, I busted my ass on a wet downhill trying to make a sharp turn on my 2nd day trying out the 100mm. I mentioned power slides as a reference compared to soul slides on which methods damages the wheels more. I haven’t tried doing the power slides myself, but seen enough videos on it. I just downloaded discord again. I can add you. I most used discord for investment or trading stocks. Thank you for watching the video and appreciate the feedback. 🙏

@@CatzzSkatesFamily Outdoors I mainly use the T-Stops and never have any issue getting tired no matter how long the hill. Indoors I use the method you were using Plow Stops if I even have to break. We skate indoors with like 300 - 400 people mostly kids quite often... I am actually pretty good at zigzagging around people easily without even getting within 3-4 feet of them. I heard you mention the power slides but for some reason thought you were going to be trying them in the video. Still never got around to finishing anymore of that video. Been pretty busy fixing up my daughters old bedroom. I am currently redoing the hardwood floors. My house was built in 1901 and the previous owner who was a contractor with his own company did a really bad job at "fixing" anything. He would probably give TIm the Toolman a run for his money. Everything that would take me 10 minutes to repair ends up taking hours upon hours more to fix properly cause I have to tear out his junk and fix it. david81. if you want to add me on discord.

That’s the beauty of being a home owner. I used to live a condo so there are certain things I missed about it compared to a single family home. My living room and 2nd floor have carpet. My family room has laminated wood floor panels. I have a porch area for me to practice outside rollerblading when it rains. That’s great you are saving money. I’ve been fixing up the bathrooms and changed all the receptacles boxes myself when I moved into my new house about 7 years ago. Wow, 300-400 kids indoor skating? I’ve been to roller skating rink with about 30 random strangers in Philly and Upstate NY. I don’t like it when it’s too crowded. Last time, one kid was going the wrong way and I ran him over like a brick wall. I felt bad, but he was ok. LOL I sent you at least 5 friend requests on discord. Try adding me glyst81_skates

Great feedback. Was yours the K2 Trio 100mm 2024 model? The older model seems to have a lot of bad reviews. I have the 2024 model and the shoe laces is the 2nd step to tighten the skates. This is based on my personal experience on tightening the skates: 1. Tighten the bottom strap. 2. Tighten shoe laces. Pull the shoe laces up as hard as possible and adjust the lower laces if needed. This will make it super tight. Make sure your pants are not inside the skate cuffs. I always make sure the bottom of my pants is pulled out of the cuffs before pulling up the laces. 3. Tighten the plastic bucket strap. 4. Tighten shoe laces if needed. I skated for 3 hours+ and haven’t had issues with my shoe laces. Now, I mostly skate for fitness purpose and lots of trails. Sucks to hear you have bad experiences with K2 Trio 100. How do you like the FR1? I’ve heard good things about them from other reviewers.
