Got a lot of respect for people who work in graveyards. When my grandma passed a couple of maintenance guys were working on something and all stopped and removed their hats when we were taking her to her resting place. It may seem small to them but it meant a lot to me.

Same, at my uncles funeral 2 months ago when they were moving his casket outside of the funeral home to give him his final ride to his house ( his final wish) the people working there were wiping tears off their face. @@Torth121Possibly, but it is well known that the funeral industry uses predatory tactics to convince people that they need to spend obscene amounts of money to treat their relatives with “respect”. For example the burial vault does nothing but make mowing easier for maintenance. 🤷‍♀️ Sealed caskets explode once the body starts decomposing and releasing gas. Actually if you have a sealed casket in a mausoleum they just puncture the seal to protect the building. They don’t tell you that though. I’m all for doing what you want. I just wish the funeral industry was honest with what’s required and what’s actually happening.

I used to make vaults. That vault sealant/glue is some crazy sticky stuff. You have to put the can of sealant on a burner, just to heat it up so you can pour it in the groove.

Half the time the sealant that I see used is just tar strips the seal is a interesting choice I think as well because water and dirt still get in the vault

@@kylerporter9544 We never used tar, but I can definitely see that working pretty good. Idk what the actual name of the stuff we used was called. It's kinda a Yellow/Amber color. Vaults are usually on using a hiljoy. Pipes for rollers its rolled on squared up and once the cable are done. You are able to pull out your rollers and middle planks. This creates the opening for the vault and preps it for base lid separation.

My father was a “jack of all trades” in the funeral business (worked for a family business , helped the family out and got a job there when he left his old job at the time) gotta say the more I see, the more I realise how much of a beautiful role he played in after life care, when he was working there he’d come home in the afternoons and tell me about his day and what he did (even told me about body prep for caskets and for the crem, and when he’d pick up passed ones from houses…who already had their will and funeral pre planed with morleys funerals) mind you I was 14-16 when he worked there. I already had huge respect to those who passionately worked in the funeral industry, but these vids on yt got me giving my heart to y’all.
