Maradonna identified him as his heir to the throne. He was a genius he was gifted I can't talk for Sir Bobby Charlton but Gazza was the greatest English player in history. And england in 90 and 96 was all Gazza. He carried england to dizzy heights. If he was on the current English team they would surely have won World Cup if Southgate selected him that is. He injured his knee and was never the same. The wild english challenges who value physicallity over artistry. What a genius. His goal against Scotland was the proof of genius.

Gazza was very skilful and strong, but if I could have only one, I would take Peter Beardsley over Gascoigne. More consistent, better team player and better workrate. And that's no disrespect to Gazza.

Agree. I'd probably take Le Tissier over Gazza too, a nicer guy who I think on the pitch could do everything Gazza could do.

Gazza was never fat. To look at he looked like the kind of person who would end up fat if he stopped training when he retired. But even then, no. I lived in Newcastle for 13 years and bumped into him sevral times (my Dad hs even spoken to him), he has never been fat. If anything in his later days he always looks scarily skinny due to his alcoholism.

So you titled it "Fat Drunk English Attacker" but in the thumbnail you X out Drunk and Fat..... Yeah, makes a lot of sense 👍🏾. Nah but in all seriousness, you putting the X on those traits makes it seem like he WASN'T those things, I'm sure you meant it as "even tho he was these things he was still skillful" but its a pretty confusing visual, you could've put a check on all the traits and it would've made more sense and been more of an impactful thumbnail because it'd get potential viewers to think "oh, he was fat and drunk but he was ALSO skillful, let me check it out". Now the thumbnail feels like it's saying "He wasn't a drunk or fat guy, he was just skillful" which is way less of a draw. That is very particular, but it is those small details that separate the good from the great! Good video regardless, just keep that in mind moving forward because I almost didn't click on the video at all because I saw the thumbnail and went "why would I care about watching another super skilled and disciplined player, thats just how they all should be" and it took me reading the video title to actually get what you meant.
