Don’t forget, there was also the interview Dawko did of Scott. That was another BIG deal. People who don’t watch Dawko tend to forget how important he is to FNAF in general. He had Chris do a Foxy voice before Chris was Foxy. He interviewed loads of people and is friends with lots of people, too. Scott trusts him enough to allow them to have cross-branded products. He’s right up there with MatPat, imo.

Dawko is just all around a wholesome person and just wants the best for the community, anytime he gets something wrong he admits to it and apologies as he's always seeing the positives about things. He's incredibly underrated since whenever people think of FNAF they think Markiplier or MatPat but i always think about Dawko's Scott interview and how respectful he was to him, the community and his fans.

This stream was one of my favorite memories I ever had growing up. I remember being a little kid watching this stream and absolutely losing my mind when Scott starting changing the website to drop hints about FNaF 4's lore, and I remember losing my mind even more as I watched Mat Pat start to analyze those hints and watch dream theory form from it. It was probably the first time in the series we got to watch a massive theory about the game's meaning form before our eyes, with many content creators slowly unraveling what the hints meant. It also felt so insane to watch all the FNaF content creators I loved be featured on the stream. At the time it felt like the FNaF KZbinrs like Dawko and Razzbowski were part of a much smaller community, so to see them featured on something like a Game Theory stream absolutely blew my mind. Thank you for reminding me of this amazing event, it brought back so many happy memories that I'm glad I got to relive again!

@@Memesauce67 i think pizza sim had a brilliant ending, and UCN should have ended the afton saga. maybe start something fresh and new with vanny, and less afton. maybe he's possessing her from hell like a demonic brain parasite? something that doesn't re-add a variation of springtrap into every new iteration of the game (although i did think malhare was cool as a concept and a bit unnerving, but i feel like i wouldn't miss him much if he were to be removed. also help wanted in general personally nailed the "fnaf in VR" thing. i shat my pants on the first night of fnaf 3, where nothing even happens. the vent repairs are great too, with a fuck load of tension mixed between the fear of a robot crawling towards you in a cramped place. although i am a pussy so that may have interfered with my opinion but still)

Mat Pat makes a lot of controversial theories. So much so that some make gaming experts crazy. But when it comes to FNAF he seems to understand it more than most. In a way it’s his missing half as a theorist. Watching him theorize about FNAF was like watching Holmes chase Moroiarty. Hell I’m convinced Scott probably felt like the Napoleon of Crime as he made games and books, full of clues, mystery, and misdirection. It was just as much a game to Scott to make games as it was for the FNAF community to play the games and find the lore.
@sparkyboomboomboi7051
@sparkyboomboomboi7051 2 жыл бұрын
Ah I love your interpretation and presentation of this relationship. This is truly what is was and I’m glad that Scott had fun with the clues etc. that’s what game making should be about. The fact that the fan base and Scott had some level of faith in each other. I know this sounds REALLY weird but I feel like that relationship (especially on the early days a few years back) was just … beautiful. I don’t know how else to describe it. The faith, the happiness, the pure enjoyment, and the closeness… it was a model of how a great and loving gaming community should be. So many lives were changed for the better, fnaf will live in the hearts of everyone.

@@turbo1gaming Something technically making sense doesn't mean it's satisfying. I've always wanted FNAF to have a good story more than I've just wanted it to be "solved", and I cannot get into the "everything was a dream" thing. yeah i'm a little skeptical about the dream theory too. i swear i've been cracking my brain over this for the past few days DSKHGFKH i was thinking it could be the plushies, since where else would the four nightmares come from, right? and the plushie in the closet turns into foxy too. while that may imply the funky perception-changing coin we've been told not to take the novels as canon :( but i agree. super hesitant about the dream theory as well
@dracoblizzard7944

@@sneesnaa The problem is that the toy chika clue literally makes no sense in any other context than that it was a dream. Same with the clue about how the kid would be misinterpreting what he was seeing, which implies he wasn't being tricked by a device but actually misinterpreting it himself, which would only mater in this context for dream theory.

@@lentlemenproductions770 it may be over now but allow me to introduce Umineko - When They Cry, a mystery visual novel that has since become a bit of a legend for many reasons. It had this dynamic, though, where it was released over 4 years in 8 parts, and there was a bit of a game of cat and mouse between the writer and reader. With each release, the writer, Ryukishi07, would take some common fan theories at the time and do his best to either support or disprove them. It's a love letter to the mystery genre, despite generally being about anti-mystery vs anti-fantasy. In one specific episode, he literally took the wildest theories he could find online to explain some of the events that happened, and then had them directly come up as suggestions in the story. Its characters are amazing, the story is fantastic, the OST is enamoring, and it's a work that I, and many others, will think about until the day we die. I physically cannot recommend it enough, and it does in fact fit with what you're saying, although the interaction happened - you know - a decade ago.

This is one of the only times Scott gave us direct info on the lore or pieces of it like the mention of Toy Chica missing her beak being important, maybe it doesn’t matter now since dream theory is way out of the window.

I didn't know Matpat back then since I was watching more theory Channels from my country. But I do remember the website updating multiple times. Now I finally know why! I always thought why Scott would do that, since people could miss it. But with the stream and the people keeping an eye on the website it makes so much sense hahah. Good to know!

I think you could, with some tweaking to the released games, easily reconcile Dream Theory and the further games in the series. It’s easy- the dreams were something that happened to a young child based off an irrational fear of urban legends surrounding a local restaurant. Then he grew up to make horror games based on his childhood nightmares. That way you can pull a Help Wanted ‘they were all games made by some guy’ as well as a Fnaf 4 ‘it was all a dream based on these details in the kid’s life’, and they can coexist. You’d be able to analyze it on two levels, as well. Figuring out the story being told: purple guy, the murders, the mystery, etc… and analyzing the fictional author’s experiences and what led him to create this story.

Matt patt still does these streams. If they put another guy in charge of FNAF as good at trolling as scott was, this will undoubtedly happen again. Or at the very least, something similar would. I wouldn't say this was once in a lifetime. I'd say that's your nostalgia kicking in. But, in any case, I also have an attachment to this crazy horror franchise from my youth. The first 4 games just reek of childhood to me. Which is hilarious, because the entire franchise is about dead children. XD
