Mthr Fr, you crack DEEP, brother you crack DEEEP. And I listened and watch very carefully, as a result I learned. I had a job to do cause my 97 Szki Sideck needed some attention and I gave it. Almost no plastic parts except the wheel that catches in park on the pin, so I qswabbed a little WD-[different mechanism(spring and ball on stick that catch on indents)same outcome] on each indent from P to L and bingo no more hassle from my chick. Thanks BRO

Super informative! Thanks! Also feel better knowing most Auto Gear shifters have manual override. I need it on my Peugeot 307 as it wont start but need to get it on the trailer but it's in Park at the moment ;)
@rickt24195 жыл бұрын
At ~2:45 in to the video with that "override botton", when the shifter is fully assembled in the car, is that the same Override button (that most center console shifter vehicle has that opening slot) where we can just push a key in to release the shifter? Great video again without saying!

Yes. Sometimes the button has a knockout cover on it.

I'm a visual guy. you show me how things work, I actually can predict how they fail, how to maintain them, how to repair them, how to improve them. I cannot do that if I read a description, or look at schematics, or even a 3d model. But if I see with my own eyes the real thing, I'm enlightened. You asked what to show next. I only seen on of your videos, I don't know yet. But IU'll see more and comment when I know.

glad, you uploaded this video,, do you know if honda/toyota late model still have the hard wire going from shift lever to transmission or it is all controlled by range sensor to ECU, then ECU to transmission to let transmiission know to what gear to shift.
@speedkar995 жыл бұрын
Yep as long as they have the lever, they have the cable going to the transmission

hello, is it okay if the gear selector is always pressed? will it damage the trabsmission even though it is not put on reverse or will it show any check engine or any electrical problem or will it destroy the trasmission overtime etc. because i change my knob with a manual transmission knob and i alrady fixed it, (*it is always pressed) pls. help me

Nah it's just a lock out. Means that you can accidently pop it into another gear

"Wholly carbon footprint Batman". I'm guessing with all these pieces parts in just one car (watching all your other videos) we need to have "Fred Flintstone" cars out of rock, skin and wood to not burn the planet up. Electric cars no different. Elon needs to make an electric car out of all recycled materials. Another great job reducing complexity for the average person to under stand. Lets hope Greta T. doesn't soap box autos let alone planes (she rides in or planes she flies in). You make us think "speedkar99"! Excellent!

Got a 2008 infiniti g35 and the white pin that lays under the shifter knob stays half way down when it goes into park and doesn’t pull up the switch actuator because the pin stays stuck down so a message on the dash pops up saying to put the car in park because the switch actuator doesn’t go up with the white pin like it’s supposed to. How do I fix that white pin ?
@kkkhargeit3 жыл бұрын
And what I mean by the white pin is the plunger like you stated in the video
