selling stuff is like this is so easy when you're a pretty girl

she started as a teenager, a weird thing to say knowing she was a kid at the time...also plenty of "non-pretty" people are successful so maybe don't use looks as an excuse to discredit others!😬
@disasterwarninggirl7517
@disasterwarninggirl7517 2 жыл бұрын
@@matcharo They're right tho. Looks can take you far places, especially on a platform like Instagram. It isn't the only thing that got her success, but there's a good chance it's a large part of it. Also, most of those unattractive business people you talk about are men not women. They don't have the same social pressure to be visually appealing that women face.
@matcharo
@matcharo 2 жыл бұрын
@@disasterwarninggirl7517 what they're saying is not right. no one is perfect, no one is everyone's definition of beauty, someone will always be too much "this" or "that". y'all only say this bs when a woman is confident and makes a name for herself to excuse your own shitty personality. that could be you rn, but instead you'd rather comment about a young millionaire being pretty despite her starting her business as a teen to support her family.

@@matcharo I’m sorry to break this to you but pretty privilege is a thing. It’s not right and it’s not fair but that’s how this world is. Not trying to discredit or take away her accolades, I’m sure she worked hard for it. But let’s not pretend her standard instagram beauty look didn’t boost her initial success.
@Vikkstar-xk9gj

@@matcharo it’s funny, this reminds me of this one saying: Privilege is invisible to those who have it. Women are so disillusioned to the real world it is crazy. You’re so privileged to live such an easy life that you can spew nonsense such as “beauty doesn’t matter! Everyone is beautiful!!” Etc on the internet. It’s crazy man, what a clown world we live in

so the info is great but I make both custom n my own creations and no1 shares that is very stressful for someone who ha made jewelry since they were a child (most of my family does hand on work) I ask people to share and even post the items myself but people dont share. it becomes very stressful. As time has passed i have less time to honestly be online, selling at the jobs ive had through the past have been my greatest sales but now where i am at a job that is never changing, people see you everyday they wont buy more than a few items from you. MArkets are hardto come by and the last 2 i decided to go to ripped me off i had to lower my prices to $5 and only made 10 out of it which didnt even cover the table i rented, i do not stick to one type of craft i do specialize in beading but i make for any style i have no boundaries so i dont understand what the flaw is (besides posting less now due to life change).

Hi, Steph. I'm glad you've been finding the information helpful. I definitely understand what you're saying and I have some resources that can help further. Since you mentioned that customers are only buying a few items at a time I wanted to share these guides with tips on selling more to your existing customers: bit.ly/3CFEXLt. I also wanted to share this guide: bit.ly/3SdERjY which lists some marketing strategies you can try in addition to markets.

Hmm... I'm a handmade artist and it usually takes me an entire weekend to finish one piece of jewelry... hence the reason my business will never be popular or anything more than a side hustle. I'm lucky if I make 1 sale a year 🤣 But congrats to this young lady. 😊🙏

Can you have a few of your unique pieces produced? Do you think they would sell if they were not handmade? I would try selecting a few pieces - see if anyone will make them for a low cost and keep my handmade hustle going on the side.

I used to do facebook live jewelry shows, I used to buy all my jewelry from a company in China called NihaoJewelry, they sell lot of stuff there, and alot of the piece that DBL sells looks like she gets them from overseas, theres really nothing special about her pieces and non of it is handmade anymore, she buys components and chains and her family just connect them together, Im sure her piece dont cost her no more then $2-$3 to make and she sells them for $30+.
