You never need to share your manufacture. I hate when people feel entitled to know everything for free when it takes effort and work. You choose who you want to share with. A real hustler will take what info they can get from someone who’s done it and figure out the rest on their own. Or by trial and error. 👏🏽👏🏽 proud of you!
@user-if3jr3ly8p Жыл бұрын
Absolutely. One thing though I’ve always just genuinely wondered about it is that they’re just never original designs to start off with lol. Like oh someone is going to steal my design with a butterfly and zirconia crystals that’s been done 1000 times before? Or a ring with a heart crystal. Also been done before like a tennis bracelet. People swear they come up with some original ass design. Nothing ever really is original. Just parts thrown together from Chinese wholesale.

@@user-if3jr3ly8pthe thing is someone gives you their supplier and you give it to 3 other people now that design ends up doing well for all your sites and the minute I want to increase my supply it’s out of stock… why would someone subject themselves to that all in the spirit of being nice? If they’re willing part with it doesn’t hurt to ask but no one’s entitled to something a consultant would charge $100 to tell you at the very least

Then what the f$&ck are you doing here , trying to get free info right , so nigga don’t try to sound so honest .
@lovejones928 ай бұрын
I agree with this. To tell who your manufacturer is is basically handing someone your business to take from you. It’s just a huge no-no to expect someone to share that type of information when you’re trying to get into business.

I can relate to jewelry sensitivity and it is the motivator for me to want to sell good pieces that won't make me itch or my ears raw. I wore silver as a teen and had an easy time finding silver jewelry stores. That's no longer the case.

How's your jewelry business going?
@helenko_ekete Жыл бұрын
@@2poor4therapy51 I gave up on the jewelry business. I ordered samples from Alibaba and then I kind of realized that I am not 100% passionate about it. I had to realize what I love and then eventually start a business out of it. Currently, I'm posting about working out, health and fitness. But I honestly think it takes so much time for someone to figure out what they're good at and turn that into their niche, I feel like I'm still figuring out mine. And it's all trial and error.
@2poor4therapy51 Жыл бұрын
@@helenko_ekete Thank you for the honest answer! I'm not passionate about buying cheap jewelry and reselling it expensive either.. I'd like to do something on my own, like my own design and actually use expensive materials for the jewelry, like real gold and silver. That's way more difficult to start though so I'm still looking into it. Where are you posting about health & fitness? I'll follow you ;)

I'm in the process of getting my online retail store created. The last 9 years I've been planning to start up my own jewelry business. Instead of just starting I wanted to be GIA diamond grading certified. I've finally achieved being certified and trying to get things going. How do you go about creating policies for your online business especially when it comes to jewelry.i want to make sure my customers receive their products that they've purchased. My specialty or niche is diamond jewelry now that I'm GIA diamond grade certified. you have like a template for a guideline I could purchase from you just to get an idea. I'm writing down notes now as I'm looking at this video.

It was so interesting! Thanks for sharing everything with us! Though I have to add something about margins: you talked about 70% to 110%. That's probably true when you buy it from manufacturers. But when you sell handcrafted jewelry (really made from scratch, from the rough material), the margin is much lower. Because the time you spend making the jewelry already makes the price higher, so you just reduce your margins not to be too expensive. Jewelers/silversmiths usually have a 50% margin. It can goes up to 70% if they have a brand reputation or if they managed to reduce the making time, but it doesn't happen often. That's it! Just wanted to add that little information! (that doesn't invalidate your informations, just complete it)

Hey, I have a product based business and I'm thinking of taking Abu's course but I'm getting very low and sporadic traffic (and very few sales). Would I be wasting my money if I took his course? OR should I wait until I am getting somewhat consistent revenue that I can scale up from?

IMO adding ADs to your marketing efforts helps to increase consistent traffic and gives you more chances to get in front of your customers and to make the sale. It was worth it for me and Maya (the guest on this episode).
