Before you act like a gentleman, you must live and think like one! Otherwise it’s a costume, kids! The best way to achieve this is to educate yourself and have knowledge because the gentleman is also an "honest man" like in the 17th century.

Good advice. If you are on a tight budget Good Will or thrift stores. I have purchased nice jackets shirts ties and chinos all for less than ten dollars each. Some were brand new with hang tags. Buy quality like Brooks Brothers and Charles Tyrwhitt. And buy natural material. And like you said a blue suit is good and you can always wear the jacket as a separate with chinos. Best regards Ron

I think this is a great video for young men to get ideas on how to begin their style journey. Good for you, looking out for the next generation. The other day, my wife and I saw a group of young men get off of the school bus, and they were wearing pajamas. I just shook my head and laughed. It looked ridiculous.

Great video! Something you forgot to mention, and may make an excellent video in the future is vintage shopping for a lot of these accessories. I’ve got several high end items for 75-90% off retail by shopping vintage and great deals on watches I’ve bought from Reddit.

This really is a great channel. With regards to what I would like to see from your channel, could you please make videos which explore how a self-respecting gentleman can handle conflict and disagreement shrewdly along with a video on how a gentleman can look to converse better with people to network and make it easier to have more distinctive and compelling conversations in order to leave a stronger impression on people. Thanks, man. By the way, what is your first and last name?

1st thing is a cheap sport coat (blazer). It goes well with anything from jeans and clean t-shirt. Always cool (or nearly). Then slowly from there. 2nd, a good tailor(jng) is necessary and more valuable than polyester Hugo B... Expensive when you can and when you know you're not going to change style next week. Nice video.

@@erisium6988 Sport coat with dark (or at least not distressed) jeans. Works. As a start. Not royal blue blazer double breasted golden buttons with ripped old jeans... Even Ralph looks terrible with some mix ups. I don't even like sport coat with crew or V necks. But again, a sport coat is an easy way to start some progress. IMO

Whether it's fair or not, people will treat you better when you're well dressed. If you look like you respect yourself others will treat you with respect. That can actually translate into tangible things, such as a teacher giving you the benefit of the doubt when on the fence between a higher or lower grade.

I am not the best person to give you advice here but it’s a topic I may research further. But even just as a man in decent shape, ready to wear clothes will not be for you. Custom is sadly the only way to go and worth saving up for

A video aimed for college guys would be nice. It's kind of and awkard stage when you're not a kid anymore so hoodies and sneakers are not a default everyday option, but you're not an adult either and wearing a suit and a tie everyday to uni is kinda over the top (even as a law student). I'm 22 so not really an adult guy yet, but not a kid anymore and I want my clothes to show it

I’m stuck with one problem: I just found this channel and absolutely love this style, I would love to get into this style but it really will not match up with what I’m gonna do as profession, this year I am going for arborist what isn’t really a profession associated with this style. My ultimate goal is to one day be an airline pilot so that’s a great profession to wear this style with but as arborist not really, Anyone who is willing to share some words of advice on this dilemma I’m stuck with please?
@kirstenbakker8397 ай бұрын
I can see how a job like arborist requires special work wear that leaves little to no room to express your personal classic style. Perhaps you can choose a more classic style leather safety boots and nicely styled hairdo to level up your workwear? I think you should probably focus your styling efforts mainly on your time off work: Change into classic menswear at the end of your work day. Show off your great style when spending time with friends or family. Make heads turn on your trip to the grocery store and be the most stylish gentleman to hit the town for drinks or a walk in the park. Good luck and have fun!
@Wannabearborist7 ай бұрын
@@kirstenbakker839 thanks for the tips but as arborist you wear boots that ear designed for that work, if I’d wear leather boots I’d screw up a new pair every month, the trees that you climb are sometimes very sappy, you wear climbing spikes over your boots and sometimes a foot ascender, all that stuff and the nature of the job will screw them up. Also with my hair, doesn’t matter what I do because I wear a helmet, that’ll screw it up as well. I’ll take of the helmet and have a scruffy head lol. I also can’t just change from a day of work, getting dirty into a clean and nice suit or any nice clothes, I’ll have to wash myself up first so I’ll be wearing my work clothes until I’m home and after a tiring day once I’d be home I’ll probably stay there. That leaves just free days and weekends to wear nice clothes but then it feels so stupid for everyone who knows me to see me wear nice clothes just 2 days a week. I probably will wear nice clothes when I get the chance but it just doesn’t match up with my career path. My ultimate goal is to become a pilot and then it’s easier to wear nice stuff because that’s also what I wear in the cockpit

On one hand you say a lot of interesting things about etiquette and behavior but at the same time this video on standing out with your outfit and wearing suits feels pretentious and superficial. I do like your advice concerning the selection of colors. I also dont understand your love for polo shirts, it almost feels like they fall into the "designer logo" category. How are they superior to normal shirts? I find a v-neck shirt with a jacket a very stylish combination.
