What impressed me was his guile in his assist in the Belgium game, he was effectively going away from goal therefore the three Belgium players around him thought he was going to pass back but instead he quickly swivelled and played the forward pass that led to the goal.

ill be honest even if he doesnt change in 5-6 years he is so good now he will still be an amazing player then. he offers a calmness and ability to compete in midfield that there just aint many players out there that can do it even at 28. only thing he will develop really is his ability to be tactical with his decisions as he gets older. knowing when to push forward when to play bit deeper etc those are things experienced players know more. Scholes had a good reading of the game he knew when he needed to just sit deep and help the defence for a bit and when he could push forward. that comes with age and playing in various situations.

Adnan Januzaj had the same story. Composure and football talent at a incredibly young age. The problem is that Januzaj stopped developing and fell off most likely because of huge social pressure to perform and being unable to cope with it. Hope the story with Mainoo and Garnacho is different. They need time to properly develop without the media storm other talents had. Love our young players currently and they look like they have incredibly high ceilings for talent and skill, lets just hope the development continues and they can help United to get back to winning ways

The MOST difficult thing to do as a top footballer is to MAINTAIN at the TOP. SCHOLES did it. The question is, Will, or can, Kobbie do what Scholes did? I love this Kobbie and hopefully he will shine till the end of his career. But, know this fact,,, Scholes is ONE of the GREATEST midfield EVER. Not many people can be that.

Sorry Sam but this bigging up of our young players needs to stop, it doesn't do anyone any good, it's unnecessary pressure to perform these kids don't need at this age. I know you heart is in the right place but the media will do what it'll do, we can at least keep a level head and just support the team.
