Everyone! Thanks for watching and supporting me and the Channel. I have had more clients commenting on the videos (in person). These means so much to me, and I really appreciate it. A quick shout out to Molly and Hunter for being two of the best puppy dogs out there.

Thank you for your video Dan. Our cat has two problems and not sure how to balance it out. Megacolon is one so I have been subscribed through the local vet to use Royal Canin fiber response dry food which I also have been using Miralax as well as Lactose not together though, but also the other issue is 2nd stage kidney disease and now have been advised to feed him KD Hills. So I'm at a standstill 😮 how to keep the poop moving and now having to feed a kidney diet type food that doesn't have fiber in it . Also he is almost 15 which I'm thankful for. How to balance this fine line I just don't know. So difficult at times when he is having such a difficult time trying to poo. Any suggestions please. Thank you again for videos ❤

I hope this information helps you and your cat - My cat started having constipation issues two years ago. I tried various solutions, but nothing worked well until two months ago when I found a miracle solution! Sub-Q fluids combined with 1/8 - 1/4 tsp of Miralax twice a day have worked well for my cat. She now poops daily, whereas she used to poop once every two weeks and needed frequent vet visits for enemas and Sub-Q fluids. It took two years to figure this out! -I finally realized that vets can prescribe Sub-Q fluids. Once I realized this, I asked my vet for a prescription, which he approved. Now I can buy the fluids online and administer them at home, saving lots of money and reducing my cat's stress from vet visits. Many people have uploaded KZbin videos on how to administer Sub-Q fluids, which helped me learn. I give her about 50-100 ml once or twice a week, depending on her condition. Sub-Q fluids are easy to administer once you get used to it. If you're interested, please research this option and talk to your vet. Wishing you and your cat feel better!

I'm glad you said something about MiraLax. My cat is not feeling well. She hadn't eaten in about 2 to 3 days. I took her to the vet and they said that she might have eaten something. I finally let them do an x-ray and sure enough, she had eaten something. I have 4 cats and she's the only one who doesn't have a picky palate. It was determined that whatever she ate is actually in her colon and said it would pass through. But how long will it take?! I've put about 1/4 tsp of MiraLax in her wet food. I hope this helps. If not... I'm at my wit's end.

I have to give my cat 3/4 tbs of Miralax every day, or else he won't be able to pass, or off to the ER and $400 down the drain, I've lost $2000 in the last 3 years over this we've run test vets say everything comes back ok. His pees 3 times a day so he's hydrated he's only on wet food, anybody else go through this, this 4.5 year old male siamese, I love him like a brother & couldn't bear to let him go early it's extremely stressful

I've been paying $20 for the smallest little container of peg. And when I finally read the back of miralax I realized it's the same thing. So came here to discern that because I know my veterinarian wouldn't like me calling and asking if I could use miralax instead. This will save me a lot of money because the same price container in canada, I can get way more miralax.

Pet meds are crazy ... Just learned the vet sold me appetit stimulator it was $45!! Didn't even need it!!! 😢 I'm so sick of rip offs 😢 it's really sad that they take advantage of pet owners who just want to do their best for the pet 😢

Being a professional, using the term 'poop' and calling your audience 'guyz' is UNPROFESSIONAL. It's fecal matter. And we are all not guys, even though people use it as a slang. Your information is so helpful. Please be more professional.

Hi Dan, thank you for this video. My cat is 2.5yrs old. About 3 weeks ago my cat vomiting shortly after eating, and i assumed it was due to eating too fast so. that same night, she ate her dinner and didnt vomit. the next morning, she refused to eat or drink, so i went to petco and bought some of her favorite snacks. at this point, i was thinking that maybe she didnt like her food anymore. i gave her about a teaspoon worth of food and she vomited about 3 minutes after. I rushed to the vet, and she had an xray, urinalysis, fecal test, and blood work. they also administered fluids while we were there. the xrays were completely clear of alarming signs such as growths, tumors, etc; and she was fit considering the exercise she gets. So they sent me home with cans of gastrointestinal paté + probiotics to sprinkle onto her food. At this point in the next three days I’m waiting for her other lab results to come in. She has low blood cell count and low lymphocytes. She’s most likely anemic. Shes negative for FIV/FeLV, and her kidneys, liver, everything else are also very healthy. Soon she started eating on her own again- drinking too. So i started to syringe her water every few hours, while also feeding her plain chicken as the vet recommended. But not too long after, she slowly started eating and drinking less and less, and I noticed her stools were skinny, hard, and dark brown with light brown streaks. sometimes they would be near the litter box rather than inside. She has never gone potty anywhere besides her litter box since she was a kitten. my guess was it was my other cat. so about three more days pass and her appetite starts to become inconsistent. some days she eats like a bird, and others, she eats at least half her food. Then she stopped eating and drinking again. She hasn’t pooped in about a week, she’s lethargic, syringe fed gi tract wet food + probiotics + pumpkin puree, and shes drinking water on her own. I’ve also given her 1/8tsp miralax in the morning and night every other day. Still nothing. She pees normal though, but she strains to poop. I’m calling the vet in the morning to ask for copies of her analysis results for a separate vet. I’m scared because she went from 11lbs to 8.4lbs. im currently mixing in high calorie nutritional gel aka nutrical with her food and some water for extra moisture. I don’t know whats going on with her and I’m scared :( She’s always been known to be a chonky kitty, so feeling her bones so easily scares me so much. is she going to be okay? I’m too anxious for tomorrow, but I hope the vet says its just some mild constipation or something so I know I’m overreacting.

Could be kidney disease. Have the vet check their teeth. Infected teeth can kill their kidneys and our vet seemed not to know about that. She didn't listen to me about his teeth and just gave us antibiotics and an APPOINTMENT to have him euthanized. I had just lost a beloved dog to kidney disease, because it was never drilled into me that infected dog or cat's teeth can KILL THEM. The antibiotics saved his life, but she was still avoiding looking at his TEETH. Finally I demanded she do so, and THEN she found he had teeth that needed pulling which is what REALLY save his life, being ME demanding she listen to me. After his bad teeth were gone he lived many more years. Later on his kidney disease came back and he didn't make it this time, he was too far gone. Vets are God, do your own research and since YOU are paying the bills you have the right to be heard and respected. There ARE bad vets out there, just like there are bad dentists.
