I was driving one evening and a BMW with those adaptive headlights (I've forgot the actual name if that's not it but it's those that use a camera in the middle of the windscreen to block out areas being illuminated where oncoming traffic is without the need for the driver to dip manually) was following another vehicle close and I got their full beam directly in the face as the driver's side headlight was in a position to blind me before the camera behind the mirror could detect me to block that area. It is not fun driving at 60mph in the dark then suddenly not being able to see anything for a few seconds because the tech failed to dip the super bright LED/matrix/(or whatever BMW calls it) headlights. Fortunately I was on a straight piece of road and didn't have an incident as a result. I could see something like that causing an incident in trickier conditions though.

My first comment on a podcast video, and there is alot to talk about... A couple of points id like to express: 1. Ev conversion is a great idea! Id love to see that, could team up with electric Classic cars? Also, there are more and more conversion kits available that are 100% reversable if needed. 2. Ev conversions often have more horsepower than standard engines. 3. You mentioned uk being one of the first to only sell electric new cars, but wasnt it France whonmade the agreement first? I worry about the price of the cars, but they will reduce in price moving forwards. Thanks for the podcast, always a laugh.

About 5 years ago, I was helping my dad change the EGR valve on his car, everything was going smoothly.. until we dropped a bolt down into the engine bay.. frantically searching for it on the drive beneath we couldn’t see it, as light was fading, I tried a magnet on a pole, but it didn’t work.. so i said don’t worry “just Jack it up, I’ll slide under the car (a Zafira) and find it” now my Dads drive is on a slight angle, but I grew up working on my car, on that drive so didn’t give it much thought.. I slide underneath and began to feel around, finally grabbing the bolt, which had balanced itself in awkward place on the engine, passing it up back the way it came, my dad leaned on the wing a little, to grab the bolt, unfortunately catching the Jack, just behind the wheel, que the scrapping noise, as the Jack slipped down the drive, the car lowered.. trapping engine (mainly the oil sump) on my chest.. thankfully it still had wheels on, so not crushing me, but it made it very hard to breathe.. My Dad was very quick to grab the Jack, as he lifted the car, his neighbor pulled me out by the ankles.. scrapping my back and my chest along the drive and engine.. but at least I was out.. needless to say.. we won’t be doing it again in a hurry..

I have a story to tell! (Maybe put it into your next podcast?) HOW I LOST MY WEEKENDS FOR A WHOLE YEAR when I was a child of around eight my farther had a Citroen c4, it had been a family car at this point for no longer then 1 years due to are last car being driven with no oil for 1 month. My farther called round a mobile mechanic to look at the car because it wouldn’t start one morning. Being a child of 8 who was incredibly curious about mechanics and cars as a overall, I wouldn’t stop pestering the mechanic and following him round the vehicle pretentiously asking the poor fellow every thing he was doing and why. So the mechanic left me in the drivers seat and told me to check everything in here works. (It is clear to me now that he thought all I would do was click random buttons, fiddle and leave him to his work) after pushing the Bonnet down he left to go get a tea in my house. straight away I put the car into gear and drive around 15 meters away from are house, to my amazement I shouted out the window “the car works again!” When all of a sudden I crashed the car into my lovely neighbours brand new Jaguar XF type which had a expensive vinyl rap. it was more of a big bump then a crash, But I spent the whole of that year cleaning my neighbours car every single weekend to pay off it’s damage and lost my Christmas allowance.I was banned from being near the family car and am not aloud to be near it to this day alone! My farther told me if I want to die from natural causes stay away from his car... I ended up walking to school for the next few years for my safety and the family cars. P.S- my current car is a Renault VVT GT 2010 in white opinions?

also it's Norway that's per capita most electric cars, 8 times more then Sweden. 5 million people, 3th highest amount of electric cars in total in the world.
@wyrazowfkp4 жыл бұрын
@@jo_magpie Yes. They are selling more than 50% new cars that are electric. Because as all Scandinavian countries they taxed car to absurd -- so gas cars i.e. Golf are more expensive (for 1.4 gas base one) than electric Golf. 2 things about Norway pro electric cars : most of electricity is made off water power plants (clean, over 97% of electricity generated in Norway), some privilages like free parking, free town center pass etc. (since there are more and more electic cars government is thinking about cancelling that HAHA) Now 2 things against : Norway is cold, electric cars do not have good heating when you leave them parked without plugging in, also battery cars don''t like cold weather, more than 24h parking on -20 C or less can damage the battery pack (in Tesla - that's out of warranty). So they are even more short distance cars :)

What you guys should do is a three way used car battle. If your interested here are the rules: Alex: Asian cars Ethan:European cars (also British) Jack:American cars (all fords included) You have £1500 each and you have to find a car and if you have any money left, mod it Then do a time trial shootout with you driving your cars ( Ethan gets 5 second taken off his time to give him a chance). After that you have to sell your cars to make a profit. The person who sells there car for the most money wins but if that person is different to the time trial winner do a final time trial in Ethan's z3. You can also add different challenges if you want.
