John is a fabulous coach. He helped me with a part in a recent play and it made all the difference in the world. Now I am updating my resume and once again, he makes sense and I know he knows what he is talking about. Watch all his videos!

Hello Sir =) I'm just amazed by how good you are through these videos I've uninterruptedly been watching to today. Watched your three videos about Brit accent and being brazilian wasn't a barrier for me to understand and improve mine. Just great! Can't tell you how your tips on resumes are helpful, thank you so much. You are very friendly looking and I call it very luck the ones that have the opportunity to work and learn from you, hope I can be one of those some day. Now if you excuse me, I must keep on watching your videos. Sorry for the big letter, I just thought you should get to know how people feel about how generous you are for sharing your knowledge with us. Thank you and thank you.

Hello, I'm from Spain and I found you when I was looking for a video of how to do and English accent, since I found your video I've been watching your youtube channel. Because I want to be an actress, I'll be moving to England in a couple of years. What colleges or universities do you recommend? Thank you, Luna Delgado

So do resumes' get you an audition or does an audition get them to look at your resume'?
@NewYorkActingCoach7 жыл бұрын
Resumes get you the audition. ONce you are in the room they dont much care about your resume, they need to see if you can act.

Thanks for this. I'm starting with acting workshops right now and i want to register myself at a casting bureau. I worked in film before but not as an actor, but as an editor. Also did camera jobs. Should i put this on the resume? or should i just mention it but not on the resumé. Thank again

The answer to your question depends on the image you present and what exactly you have done, so impossible to answer here. You're welcome to have a session with me if you want and I charge as little as possible as my website shows. Or ask others. John (www.Windsor-Cunningham.com) - and best use the 'Contact' page there for me or my email jwcact@yahoo.com as I often miss messages here.

I wish I could see what you have on paper, its a bit tough to see it.
@NewYorkActingCoach7 жыл бұрын
Hmm, i have over a hundred people saying they can, so is it possible you're not seeing the whole screen? ANyway the points are hopefully more or less clear in what I say, and hope you get it tidy and even and streamlined and sensible, cos that's what casting directors want. I even put it in HD and on my Mac its pretty hard to see all the words. Do you know where I can see some examples online and I can use it as something to follow?
@NewYorkActingCoach7 жыл бұрын
Really sorry you can't see the lines. Not sure why as there seem to be dozens here happy with it. Am hoping that just listening to the points I'm making will make it clear what you have to do. And sorry, no I dont know anybody else who puts up such a video. JOhn

Hello Sir I am from India With having no experience but i want to work with US Theators How can i do the same?
@NewYorkActingCoach4 жыл бұрын
This is too big a question to answer here. If you want a session with me on Skype we can explore visas, unions, agents, auditions, and anything to do with acting in the USA or anywhere else. But don't us this site to send messages like this as they can disappear. If you want a session us the 'Contact page' of my website (Windsor-Cunningham.com) or my direct email (jwcactor@yahoo.com) please. John Windsor-Cunningham

On the skills section can I put awards I got for plays and musicals ?
@NewYorkActingCoach4 жыл бұрын
It might not be noticed at the bottom of the page under "Skills" - so I would put the award (and awards are a very BIG deal) on a line of its own directly under the the line mentioning the actual job in the list on your resume. Make it stand out. It will get you seen, it will get you to get work. John Windsor-Cunningham (unless the award is some silly made-up local school award, of course).

An award by UIL
@NewYorkActingCoach4 жыл бұрын
@@loveyhernandez5203 Well, yes, OK, but my opinion is to put that kind of an award in still, but in smallish print after the actual job, if you're aiming to get into a drama school program. If you want to impress an agent or casting director I honestly don't know if it's worth it or not. No harm I suppose, so yes, include it. John Windsor-Cunningham
