Hi, I'm 16 now and what happend to me was that I nearly vomited on the stage cause my character had to drink a lot of white wine (sparkling water) in a short amount of time. I than had to improvise and kind of just blamed the alcohol for everything. That was an awful experience and pretty humiliating.

Great story John, sounds like you threw them a real curve ball. Some of the best things you can get in film are when it goes wrong, makes you think . "I never thought of that" Maybe not the best in stage productions, as you can't just replay it like it happened. But I'm sure the audience got more bang for their buck than they expected that night.

Loved the video as per usual! Quick question as an actor with a talent for accents how best to get an opportunity to use them? I think a lot of the time they'll just type cast someone with the natural accent of the character.

Hi John! Thanks for your videos! I am a 16 year old boy, and my biggest dream is to become an actor and graduate from acting school. I have been in an amateur theatre for like 4-5 years now and i love it. I have watched many documents and films about professional theatre and i just want to be part of that someday! I am not sure what you mean. If you want to do drama there are always opportunities. Colleges need young actors for their student film department, amateur theatres need actors, and you can always find a reading-group meeting up every week to read plays. If you want it you can make it happen, but you have to make sure you are good at it because there are so many other people wanting every acting-job. John Windsor-Cunningham

Experience. Look at the wikipedia notes on every actor you admire, then you will see that they all went to a drama course for years, and studied during those years, day after day, hour after hour, one script after another, until they found a kind of part which SUITS them which they found easy to do, in which the emotions came NATURALLY . If there was a simple answer then even more people would want to be actors. You have to work at it, work hard, give up everything for it, doing plays and student films every week with any little company that will use you,, probably being dull and unreal until you find your SELF in a part. In this video what is the name of the play you are talking about? You mentioned your character wakes up at the start of act 2 and a detective comes to the door which play is it just out of curiousity

I think it was Murder At Quay Cottage, it may have been a terrible play, or quite good and was too young to realize. And I tell the story far too slowly, but thanks for your interest. John.

Sorry if I'm not clear in the story. I was 16, knew nothing about acting, lied about my age and got a job in a company that performed a different play every WEEK, so audiences didn't expect depth. 25 plays in 6 months to a fully packed theatre! This was a long time ago! I was sixteen, man. I didn't choose the plays, I just learned lines.

I have a question, can I practice acting when I'm 17? I might go to drama class or maybe during college do I still have time to act and practice? Does age matters about becoming actor?
