Another really good safejump is off venomous fang (snake stance ~ P) ender in the corner, whiff 2HP leaves you +44. She can also setup meaty fireball instead with 214MP > 214LP or meaty command grab with DR > 2HP into command grab. All from venomous fang ender Edit: some other oki options for fellow A.K.I mains, mid screen from normal 236HP ender > double forward dash it's pretty solid you're +6. In the corner however you can do single dash and do a meaty overhead with 3MP, if you did it properly you're plus enough to link into stand LP / LK, even better if they get counter hit

I kind of have a hard time seeing the command throw thing as a gimmick. I think only time will tell, but conditioning someone to block in order to throw them feels like the crux of strike/throw pressure, is it not? I might be missing something about that specific interaction that makes it so hypothetically beatable.

My biggest gripe so far is the stubby jabs and the inconsistent crossup. Also, it may be because poison damage counts as combo damage, but it seems like her throw against poisoned opponents do way more damage than usual. Compare how much damage is done at 9:58 to 13:54.

That's just the damage difference between a regular throw and a Punish Counter throw. Everyone gets that, the only addition poison gives are the ticks that happen during the animation.

I mean there's combos with Naoto killing Kanji and the damage counter showing 8500 damage, Kanji has 10000 health and that's with poison ticks at .8%. In the context of SF straight up deleting 15%(or more) of your opponent's health just wouldn't be good for the game. Aki's poison is more just "here's this state you can apply that buffs your stuff and is easy to build a basic gameplan around even if you understand nothing about games". Imagine having Aki's puddle but just by touching it you lost 5%, it'd be the best move in the game: guaranteed application on knockdowns, controls half the screen or more, no effort, it's a SF game so movement is much weaker than BB/P4AU/Gear/etc. It'd be nerfed into the ground immediately with people then complaining the character is unplayable after said nerf. It's just a status you build a gameplan around that happens to also do a little extra damage

Bro, that ain’t how muscle works😂 There are many type of muscle depend on what u train it for. Ever heard of striker and grappler muscle? Grappler muscle is the kind of muscle people who hit the gym has, really good for lifting. Slow power output but stable On the other hand Striker muscle are what martial artist has sure it’s lean and ain’t big but look at Rodtang Jittmuangnon, Look at Buakaw may be Ronda Rousey. They ain’t big but their strike could burst ur guts or make a donut out of ppl and they are fast. Same goes to lung of a fisher man who dives vs lung of a cycler. One can hold longer the other take in air faster and constant. There are more but bigger does not mean better. Also she wears claws dude trust me getting sharp metal piecing ur skin aint the best feeling😂

So far SF6 has very much avoided this. Aki and Rashid have a lot going on, and can be overwhelming when you don’t know the matchup but neither have completely taken over the meta. I respect how seriously they’ve taken the balance (ignoring Ken anyway). I suspect Akuma may be a whole different story, but we shall see.

This game is starting to look and feel too much like King of fighters to me. Aki is just flagrant Capcom jumping on the kof bandwagon and I don't really like it. And has anyone noticed that the art style looks very different from what they showed in the beta? The beta was all gritty and realistic looking but they put some kind of kof filter on this game upon release....

The main reason is probably that stand jab has 5 frames of startup, unlike her 4 frame crouch jab. But jab TC could have some niche uses. It frametraps, unlike her crouching light chains (unless they're delayed). And I guess it could be useful as a counterhit confirm from her medium punch or something. Edit - realized that you probably meant heavy punch TC lmao, my bad. Didn't see a lot of that in this vid, but people do use that. Check out Punk's Aki matches for example. It's great for whiff punishing and meterless poison reapplication on toxic blossom procs.
