How Alcohol Has Overtaken Kerala, India

The Indian state of Kerala has an alcohol problem. To tackle this, the local government has imposed a poorly thought-out alcohol ban. They thought that if alcohol was expensive, people would consume less. While local bars in the state are closing in phases, bars in five-star hotels will continue to operate. And people can just travel to the next state to get their booze or engage in illegal consumption of bootleg liquor.

@@giovannipanganiban3980 im from kerala. and we have have access to most kind of liqueur from the world from henessy to sake. but the best one the local brewed vodka type of alcohol known as vattu it can be made from rice , cashews, guava, dates etc...and usually has a medium to high alcohol percentage(40 to 70%)and we dont drink beer that much, 80 % is hard alcohol. we consider drinking beer is a waste. the north indians are the ones who drink beer the most . and we dont consider beer as an alcohol.

These idiots who come up with banning alcohol should be jailed. Ban doesn't work in India. During lockdown in Maharashtra, some people consumed sanitizer thinking it has 70% alcohol. They died 3-4 days later when their bodies couldn't take any more. Every state in India that has banned alcohol is causing more of its citizens to die in some form or another. If people want to drink alcohol and die then let them drink and die. Alcohol isn't the problem, awareness is the bigger problem and no government is working on it.

Lol. Also, the drinking age is 23, meaning a girl in Kerala could get married at 18 but would have to wait five years to party. Ben Dover not with me though,since as long as the quality of the drink is maintained well. I usually don't go with unnecessary protocols or "codes of conduct" that doesn't really make a difference at the end of the day.
