Poppy support has been my secret pocket pick vs champions like Pyke and the recently very popular Camille support, it's very fun and infuriating for the enemy

I play her as supp since season 11. She is a strong counter pick and even decent vs low mobility and she works with a tanky build too

​​@@HappyChimeNoisesBad take: 1.-Poppy is a champ with low pick rate, so most people would just first time her to counter the other guy, that's just trolling. 2.-You would need to pick after the enemy support, this is unrealistic. Specially diamond+ where adcs/supports are always the first pick, and not letting the last picks to top/mid it's basically trolling as well. Just better to have a favored mid/top matchup than a support one. 3.- U can just ban Poppy (or any champ) if she turn into a good meta counter as well. So, in conclusion, a nerf is just better 100% of the time.

These are great points if poppy is the only counter to camille support but she isnt. Also as you say - you can just ban poppy, so you could just ban camille instead of taking part in the meta game at all. However you can leave camille open if you are a skilled poppy player or any other counter -> get guarenteed wins vs it. So once you get a rock paper scissors type scenario the game gets more interesting.

Poppy is my second most played champ, and I’ve only ever really played her full damage jungle and support. She’s great - you can even build ap on her since she has some scaling on her passive and w (w is great to build ap for when you have an enemy team with all dashes). She’s super satisfying and a great anti carry. Once upon a time I had a 70% win rate on poppy support.

you forgot to mention poppys low health passive, the extra armor and MR really come in clutch and help poppy get away always with just a sliver of health more often than you think like seriously pay attention to the video youll see poppy get away with 1 health like every other clip

if you enjoy enchanter supports try enchanter Orianna or Ivern if you enjoy engage/peeling tanks try out sejuani, ornn and zac (all 3 of those are super fun to learn as sup) for mage supports syndra is good and taliyah is a really fun counterpick for dashing champs like kalista and pyke, and ap kog maw has an insanely annoying poke you can also just go double adc as caitlyn or jhin sup

I think after all these ~100 videos of off meta - a nerf like the one to bloodsong is a good example of something that will likely make this specfic player drop by E.g 200LP. However for everyone else not playing it in Grandmaster+ - it will be a very very minor effect. I think often pro players see a nerf in patch notes and immediatly that champion is droppped because he has to be. But this is not a great way to think if you are not in challenger as it really limits the fun things you can play. I am certain Assassin poppy will survive, and who knows it may even be buffed in the future if they buff Lethality items

Most off meta players dont wish to hit challenger as they know it will take an extra 3-12 months of work from GM and even with that they may not make it. I do think a good enough player could easily get Challenger with poppy support, I dont think poppy would limit anyone who is good enough. Mikyx plays poppy supp all the time in Challenger for example.

As Poppy main for years.. sadly she is overtuned. Its just that people dont see how truly amazing the ult is, on top of good stats and useful kit. You can face Darius and Trundle, just have to take same pdf file spells so you can kite them with Q. I'll quit her just like I did with Camille just before she got picked at worlds, because the nerf is deserved and coming. I just want to be able to adapt with runes and builds to surprise and counter my opponent, like Phase Rush on Camille 💀
