I am having a blast playing this in Wild Rift. Many of her weaknesses in LOL PC aren't much of an issue in WR and the tank build is so perfect. There is an item that gives ap based on hp, and all the tank hp items offer CD reduction, so it all works out perfectly. She is super tanky, has abilities up all the time, and deals decent damage, especially to squishy targets.

I can tell you the exact game and exact year this began. It was NHL 17. They ran it as a test on a much smaller title. NHL doesn't have a big player base and the skill levels between long time and new players were so wildly different that new players wouldn't get into the game because everyone was already significantly better. each year there would be so few new players that there was very little player retention among new players.

The skill set is one focused entirely on choosing your fights & manipulating your enemies into taking the right fights rather than in-the-moment micro movements. It is about your positioning & preparedness. If you have to disengage you failed, it is all about those all-ins & getting them right. It takes great skill to make these characters work well but the skill set is slightly different.
