Max Englund is currently a 3-time Swedish Boxing National Champion.
Recently, he has won a couple of fights by lights-out knockouts, which is relatively rare in amateur boxing, especially in his weight class.
How could he go from decision victories and occasional TKOs to start winning by convincing knockouts like this? Things like this do not happen by accident, especially if they have started to happen consistently. And especially not if they did not occur at the beginning of one’s career.
And the fact that he is a fundamentally sound elite boxer just makes the shift even more impressive.
In this video, we will learn about the adjustments he made to make this possible.

Can you explain how you should add high velocity strength training and prehab to a strength training program so that the athlete can maintain strength while also working on the other areas of training? Thanks

Hey I love watching your videos. Could you upload some longer form content though? I have to wait two weeks but then those 8-10 mins get over quickly. Ideally something like 20+ mins such as the GSP video

You make the best, most inspiring videos for combat sports. Thanks! Btw lol, with respect, sounds like the spoken audio needs a lil “de-essing” to soften out the sibilants👍

Many fighters stick to hitting the heavybag and shadowboxing but that's foolish imo. why would you not focus on increasing your punching power when you are taking this as a career? you can finish fights faster and take less damage giving you a better career and future as well.

Heavy bag increases punching power
@Testbooster7
@Testbooster7 3 ай бұрын
@@keevano7873 It does but to what degree right? don't get me wrong I built plenty of power hitting the heavybag especially when I was a noob(noobie gains), but you still need to increase your physical strength since it is one part of power. also it depends how you punch the heavybag.
@Testbooster7

@@keevano7873 yet most fighters punching power plateaus and they continue to just work on speed endurance more than power. many fighters dont have significant ko power.

@@Testbooster7 power is genes, with perfect technique
@Testbooster7
@Testbooster7 2 ай бұрын
@@avirooptalapatra2796 everything is affected by genes but can still be improved. The body adapts to the way you train it. Your type of muscle fibers change with training, your androgens and androgen receptor sensitivity increases(androgens might decrease from extremely high endurance training though) with training, and your bodies ability to recruit fast twitch fibers changes from training.

can you clarify what mindfulness is and how to practice it. Don't understand, do you mean thinking of the goals? what actually is it that "requires practice"?

Hey bro, could you release a boxing specific conditioning program? My cardio vascular and muscular endurance sucks and it would be great to purchase a program to help me with it rather than guessing everything

Fast pace johs, then 15 seconds sprints 15seconds normal pace for duration of either 2 or 3 minute rounds with a minute rest between rounds simulates the fight, also 15minutes of skipping with 15seconds high knees, sprints or double unders with shadow boxing after each 3mins

can you explain how stretching effects tendon stiffness and if its bad for explosiveness or running faster?
@alexmason3190

The best way I can explain it. Main reason why Skinny athletes like Usain Bolt and Ja Morant are explosive is because of their tendons.
