Gymnast Olivia Kelly is an NCAA Division I gymnast who has represented Barbados on the world stage. Diagnosed with scoliosis at age 15, she was determined to continue competing at an elite level, so her care team at NewYork-Presbyterian, led by Dr. Benjamin Roye, developed a non-surgical treatment plan. The treatment, which included wearing a brace and the Schroth Method (a scoliosis-specific therapy that works to improve spinal alignment through stretching, strengthening, and breathing exercises), has allowed Olivia to keep pursuing her gymnastics dreams.
