In my experience, social anxiety is a defense mechanism and learned brain behaviour towards childhood neglect, bullying, and low self-worth, self-esteem. It can be reduced by deep meditation work in your self. Journaling and trying to understand how you feel and why you feel about it will help you overcome this.
