It depends on what you want to focus on, some people love starting with correct procedures, others like my self want to experience the fun stuff in full realism but not the procedural start-up and shutdown. I found the learning curve and trying to set up the controls discouraging so I stepped away from the game and sold my HOTAS I had specifically bought for it. This would have been absolutely valuble information back then and I would have definitely pursued the game more intently. Anyone care to buy my a cheap HOTAS so I can get back in to my love for combat simulators.

Use a console controller if you have one lying around to get back into dcs. a youtuber called tuuvas has guides on how to set one up

@@Tabs_Original Dont even that lol. I'll have to look at purchasing a cheap HOTAS. Great content btw. You've earned a subscriber.

Is there also Eu servers for the pvp?

Not for this server, but I am in Australia and the server is in North America and I have never had any ping related issues

Coming from WW2 sims, i find that the "modern jet" gun fighting is too easy, as most people who learned to shoot guns with what amounts to aim bot (lead indicator) don't understand its weaknesses. Many times i see 'experienced jet pilots' missing obvious shots any semi competent WW2 bird jock would take in a hearth beat. Mainly because the jet pilot mistook map for the territory (HUD readouts to actual gun ballistics). Get a feel for gun fighting in a planes that were build around them, after that you can, and will, slaughter people in slow and low rolling scissor fights with snapshots that your on board avionics could not ever help you take. F5 or any ww2 warbird is a good plane to start to learn this.

Can you play this with mouse and keyboard

Technically yes, but i would recommend a console style controller at the very least, a youtuber called tuuvas has guides on how to set one up for DCS

When I tried to play this it wouldn’t let me join a server bc I needed a password for EVERY SINGLE ONE so if anyone could help it would be nice
@Tabs_Original5 ай бұрын
That is bizarre. I have only ever needed a password for server 7. Maybe check the discord to see if something has changed

Full fidelity or flaming cliffs mig-15? I have tried both and the cheaper flaming cliffs one holds up well.
