Ashitos arc with his mother especially got to me. I have seen all of these different sides of my mother as well. But I always know that she tries her best to provide her children with happiness even when she knows she can't be with us forever. That letter she made for Aoi was a particular emotional beat that worked so very well.

This is the best, so far, Football anime had to offer. I know it does not reach the heights of Slam Dunk, I read it before watching the show, but this hits home tbh. This is simply a glimpse of what Football players go through following the academy system in Europe. As a football player since Elementary, I just had to relate to this anime so hard that ep 6 (maybe or 5 idk) made me bawl tears out. And the episode where he was told that instead of being a Striker, he becomes as a fullback was something that hit home for me since I also experienced this change that I had a crisis during my HS years. I hope the story continues to become better and I do hope to read the manga soon.

Great vid as always! I recommend the manga. For me, I liked the manga way better than the anime, idk why but I just think the manga makes everything so much better. The art also makes most scenes better, in the anime the same scenes can look cringe IMO. What I love about Ao Ashi is that, unlike other sportanimes and mangas, the mc always strives to become better. In some animanga they don’t show the hard work u need to put in to be good at a sport. That’s why I love Aoi, he loves the game and just continues practicing and reflecting so thst he can become better, a very relatable and inspiring character.
@melia81592 жыл бұрын
Also, Ashito not understanding football is also relatable. Rn I’m playing handball, started playing with the older ones, and I feel like I don’t understand shit and that I’m so much worse than the others. I’m mad that I didn’t start playing at an earlier age just so that I could understand the game better and be able to make better and quicker decisions. I love when animanga bring out side of sports that many people can relate to.

I love Ao Ashi and its characters. They're written as humanly as possible, which reminds me of my favorite sports anime, Slam Dunk. While the anime adaptation could have been better (according to some manga readers' standards), I was okay with it. It isn't even bad, it's just that readers often become demanding when it comes to their beloved works. I know, 'cause I've been like that in the past. Lol. Anyway, I like the slow yet well-paced developments this series offers.
