Apaches are the British Army’s lethal attack helicopter, but they’re not much good at attacking if they haven’t been armed up first. 🚁
As live firing exercise ‘Grey Eagle’ wrapped up on the East Coast of England, Hannah King joined 653 squadron, arming up the Apache Mark 1 for the final time, before they convert to the new E-model.

It is nice to see a video detailing the ground crew and not the pilots who get the glory. But pilots, without the GC keeping them flying, would have none.

Without engineers, pilots wouldn’t have helicopter to fly! 😂😂

As a USAF vet, and not a member of the ground crew of any aircraft, there is very little credit given to the crew members, which allow the pilots to fly, be armed and ready. The actual pilots do appreciate them and look on them as part of a whole flight crew.

I found the reloading of rockets very interesting but had the thought about just having a pod ready to be fitted and loaded in that way unless that’s not possible to do like that but perhaps a connection system can be put in between the rail and rocket pod idk

O guess it is about safety, plus once inserted into the pod, they are almoust ready to fire.

Absolutely love this Heli it’s absolutely gorgeous and it is my all time favourite and I’m sorry nothing will ever beat it. I’ve actually been inside one many years ago and man it’s unbelievable you feel like you could take on Hell all on your own lol 😂. I’ve always wonder do they ever get stoppages with there cannon, just always wondered. Anyone know if they get them.
@Buain-75
@Buain-75 2 жыл бұрын
If the pilots "double tap" (attempt to shoot again when the syetem is still firing) yes they get stoppages and do a lot of internal damage. If the system is untimed it will also get stopages.

All that tech in the helicopter, but that doesn't mean you won't get knocked off the air. Actually, a helicopter is a lot more vulnerable than a fighter jet.

The range must be too small for Hellfire?
@ThatCarGuy
@ThatCarGuy 2 жыл бұрын
It's only whats stated on paper. While it's classified range is better it's still a short range missile and it is the most accurate missile in the world, hence it's bladed form used for assassinations. There's always pros and cons nothing is perfect.

I'd assume as well. The hell fire goes like 8k. Sp if the range is shorter than that than you risk a missile going off into a residential area.

Is the MELB-X, newly designated “MH-6R", the "Little Black Bird" helicopters of 160th US Army Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR), appears is ready for deployment as a top secret Pilot-optional new special ops helo, with state of the art stealth and fuselage armour technology and navigation and secure communication systems. As well as both electronic-warfare and advance passive active sensors systems, plus new digital flight by wire flight control systems and new state of the art weapons too, even increase onboard fuel tanks with a removable in-flight refuelling probe that can be installed quickly to give extended range and endurance too. To provide Tier One US Special Forces, a clear advantage over any of the international Islamic Terrorist Groups, or over the likes of the Chinese, Russians, or the North Koreans and Iranians, in any future West East conflicts or wars. With the new “MH-6R” or the "Little Black Bird" ready for anything, plus can have a flight of four or six of "MH-6R's" helo's plus their pilots and ground support crews and necessary SF Operators too. Can be anywhere in the world, within 24-hours from the United States, via C-17's and C-5's or by C-130J's flying West over the Pacific Ocean or East over the Atlantic Ocean too. The only question is will the new "MH-6R" replace only the older "MH-6's" only, or will a fleet of new "MH-6R's" replace older "AH-6's" too? Maybe a second question, will these new "MH-6R" helo's, be offered to Nato and other American Allies own Special Aviation Units too?
