Thank you! This was so informative! I've been tossing around getting a double strung harp instead of a pedal harp for a while! It seems like it would work!😊

Very informative video. Always thought double strung Harp was tuned like a 12 string guitar but this begs the question…ever play a Welsh Triple Harp?

Great question! Yes, I've tried one... having the middle chromatic row is very cool, but I've decided to stick with its modern diatonic descendant. My upcoming FAQ #5 will talk about the double-strung harp's family tree, including the Welsh triple--stay tuned!

What about cross strung harps?
@cindyshelhart Жыл бұрын
Hi, great question! Cross-strung harps are chromatic, and the strings cross in the middle to form an X (hence the name), and these harps require a totally different technique. I specialize in double-strung harps, which are diatonic instruments, with the 2 rows of strings in parallel (no crossing in the middle), and sharping (semi-tone) levers on each string. And double-strung harps use the same technique as other lever harps.
