It's now thought that more than 10 million people, including two million children, have had to leave their homes in Ukraine since Russia invaded the country at the end of February.
Ukrainians have been trying to find safety in neighbouring countries such as Poland and Moldova, as well as travelling further to countries such as Germany and the UK.
15-year-old Polina, her five-year-old sister, Taisiia, and their mum, Svetlana, have made a journey from Ukraine to the UK to find a new life.

I remember when I came in UK 13 years ago. Tbh I fall in love to Britain and British people from day one. So calm and safe, no rush no panic nowhere. My children's born here and I love see them smiling every day. So looking at this girl face I remember first days, weeks. I sincerely hope that they settle in. Russia spent years supplying weapons Bashar al Assad and when he was criticized for it, Putin replied that they were just selling weapons to the "legitimate government of Syria" and that the practice was "in full compliance with the norms of International law". Ukraine's government is way more legitimate than Syria's regime will ever be, since Zelensky was elected w/ 73% of the votes in 2019 elections certified by OCSE, PACE and IEOM as free and fair, so Putin doesn't have the slightest right to bother us about arms sales to Ukraine.
