Serious question > How many here are willing to drop $20 for a theater ticket to go watch a movie that has been entirely generated inside a computer, with no real actors or environments, no matter how photorealistic it looks? Especially if most of the people you know around you are beginning to lose their livelihoods to A.I.?

Who knows? Maybe it’ll be a smooth transition that people won’t notice and they’ll pay just to be entertained. Almost like Marvel movies that are mostly CGI with less practical effects. Still looks thrilling so people keep gobbling it up. People like me are turned off by all of it but they’re still making billions regardless.

AI can take a person's job by performing tasks that were previously done by humans, such as decision-making, data analysis, customer service, and even creative work. Unlike a computer, which is limited to performing specific programmed tasks, AI can learn from data and adapt to new situations, which allows it to perform a wider range of tasks and operate more independently. This can result in greater efficiency and cost savings for companies, but it can also lead to job displacement for workers whose jobs are now being performed by AI.
@HardKore5250
@HardKore5250 Жыл бұрын
Artificial intelligence (AI) systems are designed to learn and work independently by using algorithms and statistical models to analyze and interpret large amounts of data. This process is known as machine learning, which allows the system to identify patterns and make predictions based on the data it has analyzed. The system is trained on a large dataset, which contains examples of the task it is designed to perform. For example, if the AI is designed to recognize images of cats, it would be trained on a large dataset of cat images. During training, the system uses algorithms to identify the common features and characteristics that make an image a cat, and it uses this information to make predictions on new, unseen images. Once the AI system is trained, it can work independently by using its algorithms to make predictions or decisions based on the data it has analyzed. The system can continue to learn and improve over time as it is exposed to more data and is given feedback on its performance. However, it is important to note that AI systems are only as good as the data they are trained on and the algorithms used to analyze that data. They can also be affected by bias or errors in the data or the algorithms, which can impact their accuracy and effectiveness.
@HardKore5250
@HardKore5250 Жыл бұрын
Reducing bias and errors in AI systems is a complex and ongoing challenge that requires a multi-faceted approach. Here are some ways that can help: Diverse and inclusive teams: Building diverse and inclusive teams can help reduce bias in AI systems. Teams with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives can identify and address biases that might not be apparent to others. Ethical frameworks: Developing ethical frameworks that guide the design and development of AI systems can help prevent harmful consequences. These frameworks can help ensure that AI systems are developed in a responsible and ethical manner. Robust testing: Thoroughly testing AI systems before deployment can help identify and address errors and biases. Testing should involve diverse data sets and scenarios to ensure that AI systems work as intended and do not cause unintended harm. Transparency and explainability: AI systems should be transparent and explainable to their users. This means that users should understand how the system works and why it makes certain decisions. Continuous monitoring and evaluation: AI systems should be continuously monitored and evaluated for bias and errors. Regular evaluations can help identify and address issues as they arise, rather than waiting until they cause harm. It's worth noting that eliminating all bias and errors in AI systems may not be entirely possible. However, by using the above techniques, we can significantly reduce their impact and ensure that AI is used in a responsible and ethical manner.
@HardKore5250
@HardKore5250 Жыл бұрын
It's not possible to remove all bias and errors from AI systems because these systems are designed and trained by humans who have their own inherent biases and limitations. Additionally, AI systems are fed with large amounts of data which may contain biases, inaccuracies or errors that can affect their performance. However, efforts are being made to mitigate the effects of bias and errors in AI, such as using diverse datasets, implementing algorithms that can detect and correct biases, and increasing transparency and accountability in the development and deployment of AI systems.

I am not aware of any widespread belief that robots are the reason for extreme weather conditions. It is possible that some individuals may hold this belief due to a misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the causes of climate change. However, the scientific consensus is that human activity, such as the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation, is the primary cause of climate change. Robots and artificial intelligence do not have the capability to influence the climate or weather patterns on their own.
@HardKore5250
@HardKore5250 Жыл бұрын
It's highly unlikely that robots or artificial intelligence would be responsible for the weather patterns or natural disasters. The weather is a natural phenomenon that is caused by a variety of factors, such as changes in the atmosphere, ocean currents, and other environmental factors. While technology may be able to help us better understand and predict the weather, it is not capable of creating or controlling it. Similarly, natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, and hurricanes are the result of geological and meteorological processes, and not the result of artificial intelligence or robots.

Very soon AI will be better at giving legal advice and reviewing and preparing legal documents than the best lawyer in the world. And very soon AI will be better at giving medical consultations, including recommending lab tests with results uploaded for review, than the best doctor in the world. What do you think will happen to the world's economy when all doctors and lawyers everywhere suddenly lose 70% of their work to AI, not to mention all of the other industries that will also be replaced? What do you think will happen to poverty, crime rates, forced migration, peace and equality in general after we launch a livable minimum wage, universal education, universal healthcare, universal basic income and universal internet, raising the starting point of capitalism from zero, we'll let you die with no money, to a level of life with dignity, reducing societal daily fears on a massive scale and freeing us to welcome the automation revolution with open arms rather than with fear and great harm? 😃 #EqualityMovement #BLM #EmpowerEveryone Call me overly positive, but I think we’re leaving the era of ‘greed is good’ and celebrating wealth and entering an #EraOfAltruism and equality. Let’s #AutomateEverything and #SkipToAbundance. #RepublicansAreNazis #BanAllInsurrectionists #DEMEXIT #StillSandersPlatform
