How Assetto Corsa Competizione v1.9 has made it to consoles INTERVIEW

Here's how Assetto Corsa Competizione is ported to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with the news that Version 1.9, the McLaren 720S Evo and 2023 GT World Challenge DLC pack will hit consoles on 27th June 2023.

Hopefully it Ports well. 1.9 absolutely put ACC on a different level. I know power-sliding isn't a suggested tactic in GT3 racing but try it anyway. When you slide sideways on the and can feel the individual tires bouncing as a suspension reacts to the friction youll understand what i mean

PSVR2? I'd love it and I'd buy the game if they bring ACC to PSVR2. I think a lot of fans that have fallen in love with GT7 in VR would also buy ACC if it was playable in VR. PSVR2 needs more racing games!

Hell yeah, I just completed my racing simulator not long ago and I'm hoping to get the PSVR2 for GT7 soon. I played ACC for less than an hour on the PS5 doing some testing and was all smile. The physics there are great! For now I need to start somewhere with the karts and low speed road cars to get/build my skill up before going online and to ACC.

Yes, I can’t be bothered to play any racing game unless it’s PSVR 2. Even if I want to I just can’t because the whole time I’m thinking why am I doing this instead of GT7 Vr. Would love to have ACC in PSVR2. They need to make it happen.

Great informative video. I’m a ACC console player and I’m so excited for this update and what’s coming in the near future. Rwaggy should definitely own a PS5, especially for his job title. Amazing news, but one question I still have, why is the FFB details so different between PC & Console? I'm experiencing a massive difference on my CSL DD PRO and tried multiple settings. But the FFB is so much stronger on PC, why is this happening? Is it hardware, software?

Same setup as you -- I abandoned the xbox version specifically because of the absolute horrid FFB. I stuck with it through multiple updates but the Xbox version has terrible FFB on the CSL DD. It has to be a software bug that they refuse to address. I've seen multiple posts on Kunos forums and multiple bug reports but it never was fixed. Once I tried it on PC, I couldn't believe how much different (SIGNIFICANTLY better) the FFB was.

We really need Kunos to expand and make the consoles versions as much as a priority as PC. Third party doing the game will never come out as good as the OG game.

That's fine and all I can't wait, but is there a fix for the dashboarding problem that plagues the series x? It would be great if that was fixed, nothing like doing several laps to get your tire temps up and then all of a sudden you're looking at apps. So frustrating!

Hi guys, After updating yesterday for acc ps5, the Game is unplayable. After starting the race the game hangs up. Aftet a few seconds the game tries to continue, but hangs up again. Anyone the same problem? Pls help!

v1.9 on PS is a Glitch Fest. Twice last night during a race the track went from Optimal > Green resulting in half the field crashing.. Then there is the random crashing on straights where tyres just overheat instantly to 30.9 PSI ?? Practice mode seems okay but Multiplayer is a train wreck.

Here's hoping all goes well. I have switched to pc after the total disasters in the past and the poor FFB for yhe CSW 2.5 and other wheels on XBSX, which was ok then nonexistent then back again and now poor. I loved this game nut the poorly handled updates and terrible communication just killed it. I really do hope all works well and it brings players back.

It is a bittersweet announcement. My XSX is somewhat more powerful than my pc, but when I play ACC on it A) hardly anyone to race with online. B) terrible support for dd wheels with rev lights and all the controls C) no telemetry/ udp So i race on a less capable platform to get these while always preferring the xsx

How's your connection NAT type? I found a few years ago (when playing MP games) that having an open NAT type connection I was able to find a lot of more players/full lobbies than when having an NAT type 2 and while having an NAT type 3 there were barely any players. So I rather always use direct Ethernet connect than wireless for this reason.

My PC finds 1800 servers on the same WiFi. Are you suggesting the Xbox itself uses different settings? I usually see maybe 30 people TOTAL online for the Xbox

The other problem is, that even with 1.9 on consoles, the XSX crashes out if I use the control options from within any session. As soon as hit back the gane crashes completely. Could be the Thrustmaster TMX, but I have no such issues on the PC

I wanted to express my respect and appreciation to all who are involved in this endeavor - raising the bar on Series X/PS5 implementations. It's a big deal to finally have proper sim racing on our consoles. It's a historic accomplishment. I could be wrong but it seems both AC and ACC have improved significantly. I had given up on console gaming and have migrated over to PC. I have a sim racing YT channel in the works. Much of it is going to be 6DOF motion platform PC sim racing/sim drifting, yet with these changes to AC and ACC on console, I'm also going to be setting up a second console setup to offer comparison content. Looking forward to future updates! What would be extremely smart on the part of the devs considering the striking results of my market research regarding drifting content, is greatly expand the drift content on console AC. Probably not the place for such a suggestion. I'll take what's going on with ACC any day over expanded AC drift content, but man would it be cool, and profitable, to blow up AC on console with mod'd drift content. It's already been coded. It's available for PC. It would be well worth the red tape licensing schlep. If we could take console gaming in this direction, with mod'd content being licensed and made available as a paid add-on, even just a fraction of the modded content, everybody wins. I'm not sure why this is not going on. Maybe the code is not transferable? I don't know anything about porting content.

Good news for Console players👌😉👍 would like them to look at sorting out options for keyboard binding mouse and controller support whilst using the wheel bases. So we can button map extra options for consoles. Also replays... Full replay recording and what would also be great would be the telemetry data being able to share via WiFi to devices like phones and tablets for apps like sim Hub to have custom digital dash boards just like I can do on GT7, and PC2 😊

Pc fans are less enthusiastic because we have options. If you could get it right it’d be appreciated, no bother if not, I’ll play rf2/ac/iracing/ams/ams2 while I wait. 🤷🏻‍♂️. Console is GT7 or ACC. That’s it in terms of serious sims isn’t it? (And I’m being generous calling gt7 a serious sim).

Honestly, this isn’t good, remembering it took a whole year to launch 1.8 for consoles after PC had it, and now this. They don’t even release a date until a week before release. Pretty subpar console support IMO. I hope they do better with their next title.😕

Please bring acc to psvr2 bro. Your new patch is so good. It feels great on my Logitech G pro DD with the pro pedals with next level racing f-gt with monitor stand with 65 inch Sony x90j. So VR and or get the game @120 fps with vrr I was Very disappointed that it wasn't in the last update. If gt7 can have 120fps and VR and you have neither you need to step it up. Imo
