This video's gotten a bit of information wrong. For instance, the animatronic scream in FNAF 1 is not a recording of a child screaming, it's a sound clip of a woman's scream from an 80's sci-fi horror film called _Inseminoid_ (1981). Apologies for that!

@yeah up yours too buddy Freddy laughs when he moves to another room. His last stop before your office is the bottom right corner of the map. He doesn’t go into the camera blind spot on that side like Chica. If your door is open, Freddy is in that corner and you hear his laugh, then yes, you are already dead, and you can expect Freddy to suddenly be in your face a few seconds later.
@imortal3333 жыл бұрын
@yeah up yours too buddy I don’t remember the camera numbers, but if that’s the bottom-right camera, then yes. Just like all the animatronics, if you look at Freddy in the camera, he’ll be frozen in place for a bit. The amount of time he’s stuck for is dependent on what difficulty he’s set to. A big part of winning 4/20 mode is doing a loop of closing both doors, looking at Freddy, looking at Foxy, open both doors, repeat. It’s still really tough because the strat is mostly based on Freddy taking his time when the power runs out, which he is much less likely to do on 20 difficulty.

The theory is that when the pizzeria was open and the power were to go out, Freddy would start playing his song and lighting up his eyes to attempt to calm down distressed children. Since his song seems to be in a music-box-lullaby-style, this would make a lot of sense.

I think that sort of design idea exists a fair amount in the series. iirc the Toy-series animatronics attack you because they’re programmed to protect children & the Glamrocks (at least Freddy & Chica) are designed to actively aid lost or stressed children until their parents or guardians can find them. In both cases you’re just sufficiently unfortunate that they’re instead trying to kill you.

And to correct his information a bit,if you do play dead you actually last longer before Freddy kills you so it's not that useless to play dead.
@frog14054 жыл бұрын
@@xxsegaxx you actually don't. This has been proven to be false by people that have dug through the game's code. It's basically placebo. Phone dude suggests that you should try playing dead if caught, so the next time power goes out you stop moving, and with this lack of motion time seems to be drawn out and you are left on the edge od your seat just hoping it'll hit 6 before you die, so it just seems like you live longer. In reality, it is completely random.

There's actually another example of advantageous audio, in the form Bonnie's and Chica's footsteps. When they initially step off of the Main Stage, they do not make a sound, but after that, every time either one moves, you can hear a footstep sound, and depending on how loud it is, you can tell how close they are to you.

I guess he had some experience doing games like this before. FNaF wasn't his first game, let alone his first franchise. "Having some non-zero sound ambience actually makes an environment calmer than one with total silence." Straight facts. The library at my school is dead quite, so if I were to try to study there, I'd be anxious about not making the slightest noise that would interrupt the silence.
@aquaticchaos17172 жыл бұрын
Funny, that kind of ties into the next FNAF-related video he made. Specifically the Pizzeria Simulator section, "food tastes better when you're hungry." Which means sounds you cause yourself feel louder than sounds you don't- especially in situations with a lack of sound and/or when you have to focus. So kind of like when you sneak into the kitchen to grab a midnight snack while your family is asleep, and every little creak of the floorboard and opening the cabinet sounds SO MUCH LOUDER than had you done it around noon because of having to focus on staying quiet.
