Hey Martin you can study his tabs here www.hooktheory.com/theorytab/artists/a/avicii and look at most of his songs and he does. The thing that changed later on in his career was the use of more advanced Chord usage in his tracks and more complexity rather than the standard 4 bar chord. Thanks for your comment.

i guess avicii was more making his melodies on the model of a jazzy piano improvisation, as you can see on his instagram, and if you look precisely, his melodies don't follow a repetitive rythme but they feel way more random. i guess this is his real secret

It was the instinct or emotion that used to guide avicii or rather filter what he really wanted and what he didn't. Follow your emotion in music instead of going by some kind of theory.

@Dj Mizzy he uses a Nexus preset called "Ballad Grand Piano" just above dancepiano 2k7 :) and if you're in fl go to G#4 when zen is on G#3 :)

I think like you did with the hardwell song start to finish you should do that with an avicii style track in remembrance of him bro. On top of that, we’ve all been taught by you with big room deep house and g house but maybe progressive house tutorials like matisse sadko. Some people struggle with mixing a kick, the leads, chords AND bass lines for the drops. I feel it’d be super helpful fam. Idk just my two cents
