That is the questions I wondered since the 70's. Today Mr. Fripp has changed into a decent guy. Well done!

🌠 as far as I can see ..both people on that stage are fantastic, not awful @ all...awful people dont make good music / art...well maybe sometimes..I would have 2 think about that..every rule has an exception...

Never trust anyone who seeks popularity for they are lying.

Always admired Fripp, cut my teeth on ISLANDS, bought the rest Of CRIMSON albums. But lost me after RED! I think Toyah has mellowed him over the years, they are only having a laugh with the videos. But sometimes I think they give too much of themselves away.

@@vivimos_en_una_sociedad7758 I’ve tried CRIMSON post RED and I don’t get It! It’s the first few albums for me, Sinfield lyrics followed by the Palmer James lyrics, coupled with Wetton, Bruford, fantastic! Fripp was going to rename the band, after RED and he should have done different music completely. Got tickets to see Fripp and Toyah this month, not keen on content, but probably last chance to see one of my favourite guitarists. Take care.

The 80's Crimson was the best.

@@WilhelmDrake All down to personal taste, and the greatest debut album of all time! Sinfield lyrics, Palmer James lyrics, Wetton vocals! I prefer the material up to red, it’s like classical music you don’t like all of it.

I disagree with Robert when he says that he does not seek popularity, why then does he publish so many yt vids.

There is more than one connotation of the word. One is, as you suggest, the state of having attracted a lot of positive attention. The other is the state of being liked personally. I believe Fripp is referring to the second of the two. As to the first, he has never made any bones about seeking to exist as an artist within the realm of commerce, although he has expressed a negative view about the prospects for the art.

Probably similar reasons as to why he would join a band when he could have worked 9-5 as a real estate agent and played guitar composing pieces all the same. Publishing and releasing content can have little to do with the strive of popularity, especially when a large portion of die hard fans are hating the videos he's making with his wife, and then continues to make them anyway.

because he's a typical lefty hypocrite that despite his cultivated image of depth and wisdom he really hasn't thought that deeply about his own weaknesses.

Popularity is not the only reason to publish yt vids

Well, I for one am convinced. Weighing whatever observations of Robert and his actions over the years, plus his statement of motives and explanation that is consistent with his actions vs. rando who throws off "but you make videos", I think we can all safely conclude that impulsively posting rando must certainly be onto the actual truth of the matter. Well done!
