Yeah I like the idea of new characters just being fun and different and providing different team options rather than just every new character being the new strongest character in the game. If Harumasa is simply just as strong or similar to Ellen and Zhu Yuan, then that’s perfect. Especially if Ellen rerun is coming too, then she might not actually get powercrept, not even by Miyabi and we can just have a harmonious balance between attack characters and anomaly characters.

He even suggested Miyabi is more or less the same and isn’t by any means (as of now) stronger by any substantial degree and possibly won’t even be the strongest in the game. Even so, if they’re giving out what is essentially a character as strong as Ellen and Zhu Yuan for free, then that’s amazing at the very least.

Ellen's level doesn't sound bad. I've been using Ellen in Shiyu for the Ice, Ether and Electric weakness floor and can clear quite well (Didn't pull Zhu Yuan and lost 50/50 on Yanagi). Getting a free Harumasa for Electric floor would be great.

Under pure mono electric team, between M6 Harusama and M6 Yanagi, Harusama will win Yanagi. Just saying if you just play the story/challenge mode in HDD vs Shiyu Defence (which currently promote anomaly bonus). With Qingyi (she need an attacker) pairing with Harusama (he need a stunner), they are the best duo to take advantage of each other. So he is like electric Zhu Yuan. You can pair these duo with either Grace or Rina from standard banner. Attacker is more suited for mono team against enemies with single element weakness while anomaly team is more suited to enemies with dual element weakness (which is why Burnice and Jane work so well against enemies that are weak to both fire and physical. There is another group of enemies that are immune to both stun and anomaly (example is mandrake, the weakest type) but the game is promoting anomaly so it seem anomaly team is meta. But once elite and boss enemies that are immune to stun and anomaly are released in future patch, attack agents will become meta again once they introduce attack agent that do not need stun/ anomaly- basically a S rank agent that is like an upgraded Billy for ranged agent or Soldier 11 for close combat agent. Miyabi as a void hunter will join another void hunter in future in a team to negate such type of enemies in future patch.

He’s a free unit. He’s not gonna be as good at C0 as the units that aren’t free. The other two attackers we have are 1.0 characters and can both clear all the content. I still use Zhu yuan for one side of shiyu. I’d wait for a few more attackers before acting like the world is ending.

the current content is not even near difficult enough for the games “power creep” to be an issue, Ellen, Zhu Yuan, and even most A ranks can clear all the content in the game just fine. who cares if yanagi clears an already easy game mode like 30 seconds faster than harumasa just play who you like and you’ll be fine

In ZZZ's case a difficulty spike is in fact coming because there is going to be a decibel change.

The game was not doing well so most likely Mihoyo executives told them to make it more like genshin impact and honkai star rail or the game is going to be shutdown. Either way ya, a lot of F2P accounts are getting bricked with these changes, You may as well have pulled for zero characters which is why f2p are going to need to reroll a second account or be struggling when the difficulty spike comes.

@@MarkFin9423 admittedly i haven’t looked too much into the decibel change but i think the rational behind it was that 90% of the cast wasn’t utilizing a portion of their kit so they made decibels more easily acquirable, not necessarily as an indication of a huge difficulty spike. while a difficulty spike is to be expected over time, i have a hard time seeing one coming thats so big it invalidates the last 4 patches worth of characters any time soon, and the fact that the next two characters Miyabi and Harumasa aren’t that much stronger than their competitors indicates to me that they’re slowing down on the character power jump between patches. And ZZZ does pretty well, i think last month the estimation for mobile revenue alone was something like 20 million usd which is an absurd amount of money to be making monthly. It may not be as much as genshin or hsr but theres no way Hoyo expected ZZZ to match those two in the first couple of months. I know theres a lot of comparisons and people on all sides of the aisle shitting on other games for their revenues and whatever but if you step back and just look at the numbers in a vacuum, 20 million dollars is a ludicrous amount if money to be making monthly, and thats just on the mobile end nit even counting PC, and theres gonna be a bump in revenue once the console port drops as well. It’s easy to look at revenue numbers or character strength and doom but I just don’t think the future is that bleak for the game, f2p and currently invested accounts will be fine lol. the doomer attitude just isn’t a healthy one to have about the game either imo, just keep your chin up and pull for who you like, I promise you’ll be fine for the foreseeable future
