How BAD Is The Vlandian Vanguard? Bannerlord Cavalry Units Guide

This is a 1.8. Bannerlord in Depth Analysis of the Cavalry troop knows as Vanguard.
This video is part of a Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Playlist where we analyze each unit not only based on their equipment but also on statistics taken after intensive testings.
The Data will be trimmed down and showcased both throughout the video and at the end to allow the viewer to know as much as possible about the unit in question.

Didn't even realise they were that bad when used in large numbers. I had them combined with many other cav so I would have no idea about individual performance.

@@LyonExodus For sure, they are especially helpful for 1.8 as alot of previous videos cover 1.7 or before so there are not many updated changes. Alongside armour changes which makes a whole new world of which troops are actually worth it. In this case, I didn't even know that these vlandian cav were so bad

Vanguards used to have the Banner Knight's armour which had 46 BA back then ,a much better improvement,but now they'd have 50 BA if they'd kept the piece but instead got that tabard.. A very respectable amount for a cavalry that should have long and hard hitting but slow weapons. Taleworld just doing god knows what in terms of balance. *Cough,Cough* Fians and Khan's.. Though I'd say you should have postponed Vlandia for later on,as they're more likely to be buffed when they get the new shoulder pads.

Yeah, Cavalry right now needs all the armor they can get until the fix the AI. I would'have honestly liked to keep Vlandia for later becasue as you say they are likely to get some buffs moving forward but as the worst faction right now i wanted people to know how in such a bad state they have fallen. I will unlist and post new ones when and if they get changed.

Their crossbow units are really good and pretty deadly when mixed with other ranged units. The BAnner Knights for Vlandia is great as well due to the strength of their charge and usually mix them with cataphracts.

Crossbows are an highlight of the faction but 1.8. did have an impact on them, they are not as accurate as they used to and the armor buffs for armor made their low ammo be felt even more. They aren't bad by any means but they are far away from a decent archer paired with a good captain. I also made the video about the Crossbowmen

Shock Logic. my mate. you are a lot of fun for many of us. Please keep exposing yourself. instead of listening to a man who played 4K hours, run tests on all patches. played with Lords bringing troops with 250 HP and still found a way to win. The tests are far from biased. they are as fair as they can get, I despise the Khans yet they top all charts. Some units are just that bad. if you can't see it i guess we know who is really biased. Vlandia is when you discovered this channel, Vlandia happens to be terrible in 1.8. i am sorry that you can't handle it. Doesn't take much to figure out the Vanguards are the 2nd worst cav in the game on vanilla. while cavalry itself is the worst class the game has to offer. With only noble cavalry coming close to being usable thanks to their armor. But thank you for keeping up. your delusion makes me happy, i know i can always count on someone to drive the conversations and keep the alghoritm doing well so this REAL information can be seen by new and returning players alike. also your latest comment proves you haven't run any tests in 1.8. let alone before. #KeepHating

Dose anyone notice a pattern with these videos? Cav and Infantry are getting shit on, Skermishers are getting over glorified, Archers and Crossbow men are the only ones getting a fair analisis.

welcome to the 1.8. meta. Cav has always been bad sine i started playing in december 2020, some infantry have always been poor. I take faction synergy into account when voting. and how well they can do in different style of armies. Did you disliked the video yet as i suggested?
