@@pleaseshutup7053 Yeah, I was still watching when Edge retired, but not long after that, and I didn't pay attention to WWE at all after I stopped watching except for that couple of episodes on Eurosport I watched in 2013, people made fun of it here a lot, because of the dumb stuff like these comedy segments so we all stopped watching it, it was either too violent or too goofy for people and it used to be super popular before that. I don't remember hearing about Summer of Punk until I came back to it in 2019 and I really love what I discovered about it, his feud with Cena, Jericho etc. Edge became my favourite wrestler during 2010-2011 era.

The Mania main event was doomed from the start. They had Miz needing to be saved by Michael cole against Jerry Lawler for weeks, and Rock and Cena just forgot about The Miz for the most part. Baffling as to how we didn't get Punk as the rumble winner challenging Edge for the world title as the main, or at least Taker/HHH.

Was there live-- can confirm Cole vs Lawler KILLED the crowd. For as long as it seems watching it at home, it felt like an eternity live. There were multiple boring chants that they muted the crowd mics for. Then Taker vs HHH is truly underrated. One of my favorite matches ever.

Same for me - my 1st Mania. Man, can you believe it was 13 years ago :( I remember that on this day I was hyping up by rewatching 25 and 26, especially hyping myself for Undertaker vs Triple H. This match was incredible and satisfied my expectations. The main event was amazing to me because of the aura. Cena and Miz promo/entrances were insane. Even small details like new Cena t-shirt and titantron colors were so special to me back then. The shots of Atlanta at night, Written to the stars. Ain’t No Grave, Hate Me Now, For Whom The Bell Tolls… those virgin Wrestlemania moments will always be in my heart

2010 was the year where WWE had new and old stars yet they fucked WM27 up. All they had to do was 1). Christian Vs Edge for WHC as semi main 2). Miz Vs Morrison I QUIT for WWE Title as the third last match 3). Cena Vs Punk carrying the nexus angle 4). Cody Vs Rey to open the show 5). Randy Vs ADR to build credibility to ADR 6). Sheamus Vs Bryan on the main show 7). Triple H Vs Undertaker Main eventing 8). Snooki,Trish & Kofi Vs Ziggler, Michelle and Layla in a cooldown match 9). 10 minutes of Jerry beating Cole w Austin And Put the corre on the preshow How they blew this opportunity is beyond me!?

While I know that most people hate WrestleMania 27, this one will always have a special place in my heart because this was the first real live WWE ppv that me, my dad and my brother got to experience together. Got to actually watch the whole thing at buffalo wild wings when they were still allowed to do WWE events there and we were there for extreme rules, money in the bank , summer slam and hell in a cell in the same year of 2011. Was a really awesome time for me especially with being a WWE fanboy and I'm glad I got to experience all of these ppv live at freaking buffalo wild wings of all places with my dad and brother, plus, seeing the reactions from everyone around the restaurant was amazing too.

The only one that is questionable is 24, which although he was the main event and the match was pretty good, couldnt match the spectacle of Ric Flair's retirement match.

Honestly they should’ve had Rocc fight Cena at 27. Instead of him being the guest host they should’ve just had him return unannounced. Then they should’ve had him intefere in the Elimination Chamber match the month before(they found a way to do it with Shawn and Taker the year before so they could’ve easily did it then). And they should’ve had John Morrison win that match and face The Miz for the title at Mania. Imagine if they had Rocc vs. Cena at 27 instead of throwing the main event under the bus to set up 28.

Punk vs Orton was good and Triple H vs Undertaker was great but those were the only positives I can recall. Cole vs king, and the main event ruined it. The main event should’ve instead been Randy Vs punk for the WWE title, with Randy retaining, and then Miz cashing in his MITB to close out Wrestlemania

I remember watching the hhh v undertaker match and being blown away. Only thing my friends and I could talk about the next day in school. And yes I skipped the jerry lawler v michael cole match after watching it for 5 mins...

It was fun revisiting this. This WM was the show that hooked me after being mostly out of wrestling since the Fingerpoke of Doom. I saw WM 26 and wasn't really impressed. As a massive Bret Hart fan, I didn't expect a classic but I also didn't expect minus 5 stars. Shawn vs Taker was good but I was bummed about someone that would have kept me watching leaving. I kinda forgot about wrestling until I heard The Rock was coming back and that was enough incentive to get me to watch. What I liked, I really dug, and what I didn't, I just kinda ignored it. I DID NOT like John Cena at all and actually had been a Miz fan from watching his Real World stuff. I also really loved the video package they played for Miz before the main event kinda exploring his journey from reality tv to the top of reality tv to wrestling to the top of wrestling. My bar for the main event was so low. It was "Does Cena win? No? Good!" Not "Is this a good match?". In that, it delivered for me. From there I started watching fairly regularly again. I also liked the cheesy skits and thought they were fun. It was nice to see wrestling not take itself too seriously. While far from perfect, I think this WM gets too much hate. Maybe one day I'll revisit it too and maybe my thought's will change.

They should have had Hall of Pain Mark Henry vs Cena as the main event because Rock helping Henry would actually have made sense.

This was my first live Mania. I had the 7 years before all on DVD and I was so so hyped for 27. It's actually amazing that I didn't stop being a wrestling fan after Mania 27. I was already pissed off that Del Rio won my first live Rumble. 2011 was a very very VERY poor year. Just happened to be the year I watched everything. Every RAW, Smackdown and PPV. I lived that and survived

I still remember the dvd blu ray commercials saying “it was the greatest wrestlemania of all time” but man it was such a joke and left me wondering why it felt so mishandled

What I like about Punk vs Orton was the way it was structured made punk look really smart so even in the loss he looked good

My main memory of the main event was a bit where Cena just nonsensically did a dive coming off the ropes and slumped to the mat like a sack of potatoes.

I went to Wrestlemania 27 and I was in the 5th row with my wife and best friend. Half of the show was good, Half of it was kinda boring. I mean I totally forgot some of these matches happened! I still have my commemorative chair I got from buying those floor seat tickets.

You could probably say that Undertaker couldn't "Stand" that PPV. That's why he had to be carried out. 😂

This is an underrated Wrestlemania. Far from all-time great but it was a solid paperview overall and way overhated.

Having the world title in the opening match was only a good idea for WM 37 with Lashley/McIntyre. Doing it here just showed they had no real intention of taking this match seriously or having Del Rio really being that guy

My first Wrestlemania I went to live and it was garbage. I also went to my first ROH show the day before Mania and that ROH show was amazing. The only match that was good and sounded like it was 70,000 plus fans in the arena was the Taker vs HHH match but even then that match couldn't save this PPV
