Ugandan yellow bananas are the most delicious. I've travelled a bit but I've never eaten a better banana. And the green ones are a daily meal called matooke so it makes sense that there's a lot of waste but I never imagined it would be this much. I have seen the banana fiber crafts but I can't afford them for now 😅 I wish them the best

You can actually eat the banna stem and it's quite tasty too. Not sure why they need to be burned.

How do you eat it? Do you barbecue it or do you eat it raw? Is it like hearts of palm that only the center is edible? Or are the outside fibrous parts edible as well? Please tell me.
@vasanthpragash8543 жыл бұрын
@@geocyo8835 Sure we chop it up like carrots and fry it with black mustard seeds. Then we add plain curd(yogart), salt and cut chilli in a seperate bowl. Then we mix the fried banna stem with the mustard seeds into the bowl and eat it. Its very tasty. We can get banana stem from local stores in india.

Hmmm I’m just thinking in terms of Canada, what fibrous plants do we have? Beechwood tree? Celery 🤣

This is more than just plant fiber; promoting maximum utilization of the 2x waste generated from banana plantations.
@hibiscusflower59113 жыл бұрын
@@_suki_ very true! The fibre is the byproduct of the banana industry... the tree usually lives for 6 years. Making fibre with the tree closes the gap. 🙌
