@@liftlabperformance Maybe, but my thinking is that it doesn't need to. The trailers suggest a version of Bruce Wayne who is overworked, and suffering the consequences of his obsession. It may be an unorthodox take on the character, but valid, and something people today can connect to. The best thing you can do for a character who has been around for almost a century is to keep them relatable.

This was a phenomenal essay - I originally planned to watch only a few minutes and see the rest later, but it's 20 minutes later and I'm honestly stunned in the same way one is after having watched a great movie. Wow. You somehow found the perfect balance between interesting information, emotion and audio/visual style. And the end result is so moving that despite already being a big Batman fan, you made me fall in love with his universe even harder. Kudos, seriously.

Nope, if you realized all these are just conspiracy theories. Batman is not a Bruce Wayne. Rich guy like him won't be able hit criminal like batman. He's too rich to care about poor people like us. He may be buff like heck, but it must be because he's a gym junkie so he can show off to girls. Batman is the one keep the street safe, and he must be one of the poor people like us. I hardly ever cry, but watching that part made my eyes sting. The fact that the true creator of Batman, protector of justice, got his own justice denied for so long... and that many years later, he finally gets at least some of the recognition he deserves, after the whole world benefited from his actions but didn't know his identity... It's poetic, isn't it?

So amazed with how powerful and immersive the world of Batman has become. The character is so iconic in films, TV shows, comics, games and nearly all of media. Batman and the franchises history of production and incredible comic narratives, have become so iconic. That is why Batman will always be my favourite comic book character. And I am so excited to see what the future of the character will entail in media today (e.g. The Batman 2022 film for example).

Personally, I am very impressed with this video about how "Batman" came to be after many decades. I am so sad about what happened to the legacy of Bill Finger and it is unfortunate that the alleged "sole" creator, Bob Kane, failed to acknowledge him in the early decades when he allowed his own personal success got to his head. Not very smart for Kane.

Batman & Robin are caught in a spotlight, it looks like a sudden, dangerous situation and I understand that the aesthetics worked best this way but, not only is Batman cowering behind his cowl and cape (natural enough) but HE'S USING ROBIN AS A HUMAN SHIELD!! You don't have to be a parent, or have seen your parents gunned down before you for your immediate instinct to be to get the youngster behind you!

For bat fans it's always been a joy to pick up that comic and see what story writers had come up that month . I myself have a bat obsession. I have comics , figures , statues and more and love the character even when things go bad ...1997 batman and robin movie. Some fans believe that Bruce Wayne is the mask that Batman uses . Hopefully The Batman will be a good movie but with all that's going on in the world we not see it for a while.

As a die-hard Nolanite and hardcore fan of the legendary "Dark knight" trilogy as well as Baleman, I've got to love "Dawn of Justice" for not only its intricate plot, brilliant philosophical themes, great acting performances, elegant cinematography and Batfleck's bold take on Batman... but also being the first film to acknowledge Bill as the rightful creator of the World's greatest detective.

The assertion made at about 3:45, that casting big name actors in comic book movies was atypical, is clearly contradicted by the presence of Gene Hackman in no less than THREE Superman movies to that point, and Marlon Brando in the first one.
