I’ve picked up bees, usually bumble bees, when they’ve been cold or hungry and have not been stung. I figure that if you treat them carefully and give them sugared water, yo help revive them, they won’t hurt you and in fact, when they’ve recovered, they have even flown around me a couple of time, before flying off. It seems that they are saying thanks before they go off.

When I was about 5 I remember going out to my garden and seeing a bunch of bees in my flower garden, there was a bee in the water bucket drowning, so I picked it up and set it down in my other hand. I never got stung so I went over to a flower bush and plucked like 11 bumblebees off the individual flowers, and set them down in my hand they all sat there in my hand with the wet bee and never showed signs of aggression. I’ve remember that day my whole life and hope to never forget it because it just was and seems so spiritual and caring to this day. That’s why I hate the humans species, how could anyone kill such a helpless animal, let alone kill a elephant or a whale, there are like million and billions of whitetail deer killed in the u.s every year for nothing! We are talking bout population control but imagine going out in the cities and shooting a bunch of people to eat and just get rid of. Disgusting

If you handle them calmly and patiently, they won't go crazy and swarm you. Also, they really wanted to murder that Queen. Probably. Beekeepers get stung probably 100k+ times a year. Some wear suits, some just wear a tshirt and some pants. After your first year of beekeeping, your body will hardly react, if any reaction, to being stung by a bee.
