The cravings!!! I understand 100%. My pregnancy used to crave for watermelon. I remember calling my dad who used to work in Kitui and requested for a melon on a Tuesday. We live in Runyenjes Embu county yet mum used to go to work daily in Embu town and she'd have been the easiest to bring the watermelon but I had to call my dad. Called Dad again on Friday coz he could come home every weekend and reminded him of the 🍈 and he promised not to forget. Jioni akapitia Kwa wazee and came home at 11pm without the melon. Alinipata sitting room all the lights and TV off waiting. First question was iko wapi melon yangu and he was like I'm sorry I came late and the shops were closed. I immediately burst out in tears Ile ya kulia Kwa nguvu I was 25yrs then so you can imagine the embarazment 😂 and went to bed.Woke up the following day at 9am in a very bad mood but on reaching the breakfast table a full watermelon was waiting for me. We live in mashinani so I'm sure getting it that early wasn't easy. I took the melon, cut it at the top with a knife and proceeded to eat all of it with a spoon. Left the shell of the melon on the table and the rest of the breakfast.... Went back to bed and woke up later at around 2pm in a very good mood. 2024 October my daughter turns 11 and they are best friends with the grandfather. She lives with my parents as I'm a single mum. My parents told me to have my own kid if I want one coz that one belongs to them 😂. After labouring for 24hrs and going for a C-section my daughter has been taken away from me just like that 😂😂😂 All turned out okay for the glory of God. I support my child 100% but I can never take her out of my father's home 😢
