I am so confused about Koetter; going vanilla vs being creative. One is predictable and the other isn't. We have the OL and Jeanty but the TEs, WRs often rot from misuse. And, Miller as the WR's coach, is so non-producing with talented WRs unable to create space, get 50-50 balls, or even catch the dang thing!!! Prince and Bolt should be coming into their own but they have digressed into so-so players. Then, our MIA LBs and DBs...who poured whiteout on them so they can't be seen? There is so much that is being withheld from the fans. And, our recruiting, which use to be in the mid-high 60s is now 88th,...THAT is frightening and will make our depth even worse next season! Even "mighty" UTEP ranks far better than us for '25. But with chagrin I say, "GO BRONCOS!!!"

@@bert-cq3ijI agree with you. Everyone loves Dirk but his style has vastly been something Boise State fans never put up with in the past, why give him a pass. If he comes out and has a game plan that is vanilla I will lose my hair. I do believe and hope they come out with tons of play action and pass plays we have not seen yet. If the plays can work and they move the ball the first few possessions it changes the dynamic of the whole game because Penn State is totally gunna put their plan around Jeanty being stopped. If Dirk comes out trying to run first and they are successful at stopping it, the game is over. We have to come out slinging and be timely with play calls.

Boise state has to keep Madsen out of a lot of 3rd and long’s and that’s achievable so long as the Oline can get consistent push for Jeanty. It’s no doubt going to be tough to do with PSU but this oline has the size, experience, grit, and depth to pull it off. Camper and Caples both need to have a consistent game where they get occasional separation and haul in the dimes when Madsen delivers them! As someone else commented, hopefully Koetter opens the playbook a little bit, and uses Jeanty outside of merely the 1,2,3 and 4 gaps! I trust Koetter has a hell of a lot better idea regarding the needed game plan than I do though haha. Aside from that the pass rush has to get after it early and help our cbs because we know they’ll need it. Go Big Blue!

Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton, two of the best Right Backs in the nation, will eat Boise State's defense alive! Not to mention Tyler Warren. Plain and simple, the Broncos haven’t faced a defense of Penn State’s caliber --PSU's front seven is Elite! Abdul Carter, Dani Dennis-Sutton and Dvon J-Thomas will pressure Jeanty and diminish his effectiveness. Other than Jeanty, the Broncos lack talent, they have zero "Blue Chip" players.

I’d love to see BSU run the ball 8 straight times to start the game. Keys for the Broncos: 1. Jeanty, obviously. 2. DLine (4 sacks vs Oregon. 2nd in the nation with 51 sacks and 347 in sack yds-1st in the nation) 3. Madsen, no picks (only 3 on the year). 4. Bronco corners: Earby and McCoy. 5. Boise State’s OLine, protecting Maddox.

This will likely not even be a competitive game. Coach Franklin might end up playing the bench at the beginning of the 4th Quarter, just as he did against SMU, it was only then that SMU could finally put a Touchdown on the board, otherwise they would have left Happy Valley with a field goal only.

PSU is too well coached, talented and focused. BSU might jump out early on hype and adrenaline but unless they get two turnovers and a kick return I can’t see thm beating a so,I’d team like this. IMO PSU 31-27

As a BSU fan, Penn State looks beatable. The only thing I’m a bit worried about is holding off their defense, but their offense looks slow and not that great. I can guarantee the team isn’t intimidated but has a chip on their shoulders. One thing we having going for us over SMU is a quarterback who does a better job of taking care of the ball in pressure, and our run game. Gonna be a tight game but thinking Boise State will come out on top, especially if Penn underestimates and underperforms.

Penn St has a running game also and the best defense Boise has seen this year other than Oregon. Penn St will physically beat you up and one solid running back will not dominate their defense, no way, no how! Penn St 34- Boise St 17.

Ive watched 3 boise state games not incouding oregon now. The thing that stands out is the boise state offensive line gets beat inside and gets beat in general a lot in run blocking. Jenaty just makes guys miss and capitalizes on a conference that seems incapable of tackling. Jeanty will make some guys miss Tuesday and hes gonna break tackles but with how often he gets met at or behind the line of scrimmage against bum ass teams like wyoming and nevada or Unlv , i see penn states defense having a great chance to really close him down. I expected the boise state run blocking to be a lot better but the kid has 1800 after contact for a reason. I highly doubt he can generate the same after contact yards against penn state tuesday night.

Stop the oregon game crap. That was week TWO, a week after oregon barely beat FCS idaho. A week after boise state let georgia SOUTHERN drop over 40 points. Might as well been last year at this point.not to mention we all saw oregon struggle mighitly against the penn state run game, out of position,poor gap control and missed tackles. When all you have to fall back on is a week two close loss and some undersog magic, youre in a rough spot. This boise state team is one dimensional on both sides of the ball. Period.

Penn State has zero respect for Boise. That will be their Achilles heel. By the time they realize Boise is legit they’ll be in a do or die situation and Ellar will panic. Just look at the posts from the Penn State fans. They’ve already penciled themselves into the Semis! One more thing to keep in mind. Boise wants it more and will have the superior attitude and state of mind. Btw. It will be an SEC officiating crew . Out DEnds must set the edge! Make Ellar stay in the pocket. He is not mobile like Madden. O line must give Madsen at least 4 seconds. If not roll the pocket and force Penn to defend sideline to sideline to sideline. I think they’ll get tired quickly, And finally, Boise has to get another running back involved to spell Jeanty, Especially in 3rd and short situations. Crowe.

If Penn State has one strength, its not overlooking teams, they are something like 33-1 in games they are favored to win, the loss being the Peach Bowl against Ole Miss with interim DC, OC, and a bunch of opt outs. Clown on them for losing to OSU or Oregon but I would not expect them to overlook you, especially in their first every playoff.
