How busy is the WCML into Scotland?
Every train passing in 2 1/4 hours on a Spring Evening at Springfield
with:
Class 56
Class 807
Class 90
Class 66
Class 68
Class 321
Class 325
Class 397
Class 390
just North of the Border
22 April 24
I think I recorded every passing train as I waited for the Class 807 heading south after a run to Glasgow Central and for the Class 56 hauling ballast from Ravenstruther to Carlisle Yard.
We also see one of the Tyne Yard to Carlisle Yard engineers trains, diverted vWe see ia Edinburgh whilst the Tyne Valley line was closed for engineering work between Carlisle and Hexham (maintenance on two level crossings.
We see Class 807002 on test from Glasgow Central
Class 325 mail train
Varamis Rail class 321 parcels train
Intermodals behind Class 68 and Class 90s!

Epic location again. I love the coming/going shots... and that perfect angle to catch the trains on the long curves really is one of the best ways (for me) to view/present a train!

Very pleasant Les, hearing birds and sheep in the background. But rail wise for me the sound of a 68 working takes some beating.

What frequency do they run between euston and glasgow and vice versa?

hourly each way plus 6 each way (I think) to Glasgow or Edinburgh via Birmingham. You'd have to check the Avanti timetable to confirm the latter.
