You're riding a fine line there pastor, certain people are not even to be allowed into the church. Obedience because of love, not love itself, is what Paul was speaking of.

What do you think Jesus means when he says, “WHOEVER comes to me will in no way be cast out” John 6:37-39
@borrowedtruths69554 ай бұрын
@@robingreenfield1714 That those who come to the Lord Jesus Christ for the salvation of their soul with the realization that we are saved by grace through faith and that not of ourselves will in no way be turned away, and that we who have been born-again have full and eternal assurance of our salvation. What else could it possibly mean? You're not one of those pastors that has a marque outside of your church with the words "All are welcome" on it, are you? That would definitely go against 2nd John 1:10-11 and even Matt. 15:8-9.

What do you think it means to have a spirit of religion?

I think this video is talking about preferences and maybe to some extend some outer-layer convictions. Certainly it’s not advocating for variance on the core doctrines of our faith or on convictions. We’ve got to have those in common in order to do life together as we’re commanded and called. I’m thankful for 9 marks as a lay person because I am better equipped to be a more faithful follower of Jesus and a more faithful church family member.

DEPEND. There are disagreements and differences that are not negotiable. SIN IS NOT NEGOTIABLE. If God says NO in His Word is NO, and if God says YES in His Word is YES. If a church does not want to recognize its sin it is destined to the discipline of God. For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17 ESV) For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives. If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. (Hebrews 12:6, 8-10 ESV)
