Pure gold from the LD Champ. Thank you for these nuggets, Martin. Love to see more of these from you. Too much noise regarding power / distance on KZbin and need your truth serum to set things straight. I will follow the man who holds champions belt!! Cheers 🙌🙌🙌💪💪💪

Great video. 🚀🚀🚀💣💣💣 As of yesterday, I can stand up from a lunge position on my knee. Due to getting rid of post surgery inflammation. I hope to be able to start strengthening my lower quadsmuch more easily now, so I don't break that lead side kinematic chain. Thanks for providing great content. 👍

Awesome video. I know I have flaws in my swing where I lose power and working on ground forces has been a large part of getting some of that power back. Seeing an "exaggeration" here of those forces at work is helpful as most instructors try to describe a feeling or show a force plate which is ok yet lacks the clarity on timing / sequence shown here. Thanks Martin :)

I need to get my front heel forced into the ground. What are you feeling in your hands in the downswing and when do you apply the arm power? I’m a natural athlete with quick hands, but I’m super thin. My goal is to drive 300yrds and I’ve been close while golfing. I’m playing more (which is once a week if lucky), but I’m still not activating my body at the right times if at all. 👍🏾 My local course has been renovating the Range so no practice and muscle memory is being done for months.

Martin! Do you lead your downswing with your lead arm or trail arm? I feel like I generate more power with the lead arm, but I have 0 accuracy. With the trail arm lead, I have a more consistent shot shape, but am 10-20 yards shorter. Thoughts?

I don't think you're meant to lead with the arms, it's all body. I mean, he didn't even mention the arms at all in this video which is telling.

@thefishnmusician9667

@@jacobr4558interesting I'm left handed however swing right. I thought my dominant left arm was faster than my right however my right creates more club head speed when I push it through impact. My radar provided this surprising data. No wonder Hogan said he wishes he had 2 right hands.
@jacobr4558
@jacobr4558 22 күн бұрын
@@thefishnmusician9667 maybe that's true but just remember that your lead arm is also slowing the grip of the club down in creating a tremendous amount of leverage. I don't know what your body is doing as an individual but just logically the top of the grip has to slow down in order for the bottom of the club or the club head to move fast there's a combination of both of those happening. So my current theory is that some people might be more Trail armed dominant or Trailside dominant were they are speeding the club head up with force and momentum get on the extreme opposite end of that somebody who is much more lead side dominant really slows the handle down dramatically two facilitate speeding the club head up it's two different worlds so in other words you might feel like your right hand is moving fast but it's because your left side has done a tremendous amount to sling the club. I honestly don't care what Ben Hogan said about the three right hands to me that's just a generic term like firing the hips or you got engaged your glutes or any of that nonsense.

If you have to get to your left first to get to your right before starting the club moving... then why don´t you have to get to your right a bit before getting to your left before getting to your right before starting the club going? :D

You can hit farther by adding more force or apply the same force with you center of mass farther away from the club head (using leverage of the moment arm) A reason why I hit my 5 wood farther than by buddy hits his driver
