There's lots you can do to reduce the risk of a second stroke - there's things we can help you
with and there's things you can do.
We will help you with identifying the cause so that we can put you on the right treatment such as medication (anti platelets, aspirin or clopidogrel type medications), looking for
your vascular risk factors, treating your blood pressure by making sure that it is below that important 130/80 line, and looking at cholesterol and diabetes.
For you, it's a great point to evaluate your lifestyle; Am i exercising? Am I on the right diet? Do I drink too much? Am I a man drinking more than 14 units of alcohol or a women drinking
more than 10 units a week? Do I smoke smoke? Smoking is a massive risk factor and not just about cutting down.
