People forget that McDavid gets a lot of attention, which opens up more space for the others. Happens all of the time in the playoffs. It's up to the other players to take advantage of it.

Either hes sick or some upper body injury, and maybe both. Game 5 he looked out of gas, no energy, wasnt his speedy self. And his voice sounded hoarse too. And it still does. The team winning without Connor scoring is a good sign. Time for the other players to carry Connor too once in awhile, when injured or sick .

McDavid has 9 points in his best two games, and 12 in the other 10. He's fine even at a point a game pace as long as he's playing in both ends. It's when he neglects defence to cheat for offence and he needs four points a game to break even that you have to worry about him.

Additionally, the Oilers' penalty kill has been solid, effectively neutralizing opposing power plays and turning potential liabilities into strengths. Dallas is playing 5 D, they’ve played the most minutes of any of the final 4. The Oilers will dump and chase and try to wear them out, if Dallas can’t win a quick series, they won’t win. Oil in 6.

Injury devastated? They were missing their starting goalie (their third string stood on his head all series long anyways), and lost Boeser for ONE game. They were dominated for 50 minutes in game 7, they still lose that game with Demko and Boeser in the lineup. They also only played McDavid and Draisaitl for nearly 30 minutes in 2 games. They combined for a total of 37 minutes in game 7.
